CrimsonShadow
*edit i see a lot of talk. to be straight I think sinestro is a top ~5 character and top 3 in the entire game with trait
Paulo,
We are very close to having a game where every character has strengths/weaknesses and a defined set of tiers. As it stands right now, there are two characters in the S+ rank. A tier of their own. I would like to purpose the following changes. I was told that TYM does matter and nerfs/buffs are made with the communities input in mind.
With the below changes in mind, nearly every chacacter in the game becomes viable. MMH, Zod and Aqua are currently in a tier of their own. Of course, we are only talking about the highest level of play here. Examples could include (MMH = Reo/Jup, Zod = M2dave, Aqua = theo). We don't have a kabal but we are close in MMH. We are a year into the game and MMH is still developing way beyond the rest of the cast due to his tools.
I really hope for mk10 or inj there is a knee jerk patch to fix broken elements and glitches. I personally would LOVE to see a patch one year down they road after characters have developed and a more accurate patch can be implemented. Thinking about what we knew at three months... nothing really lol.

Post Fixes Tier List
Here No character completely destroys the cast and has losing matchups within reason.
Martian Manhunter:
Overhead teleport (OHT) requires meter, launches on all hits, -4 on block with less push back.
Rationale: when looking at a character and how well they can handle all aspects of a match, MMH can do just that. It is not always 'the overhead teleport' it is 'the threat of the overhead teleport' In the current build, the OHT is ALWAYS a threat and has no consequence with its current block stun and push back. I will speak for sinestro bc that is who I know. MMH literally controls all aspects of the match. All. He checks all of my projectiles and zoning, can punish all zoning and completely dominates the footsies range or has the tools to move into his proper spacing. It can be argued that sinestro needs to play the match at B1 range. However, this is impossible unless the MMH quits playing the game as he has access to trait and mobility. When you play high level MMHs they rarely just throw the OHT out. They do it in ranges that make it near impossible to react to or very unpredictable. Mediocre MMH's are wreckless with it. If you require the OHT to use meter, it will take the yolo factor out of the move. It will open up zoning for other characters and you have a way to bait out meter use. Not only will it open up counter zoning but it will help in the meter management fight. MMH played correctly will use all meter on MB orbs. Concerning the less push back, giving us the ability to check the teleport or punish a back dash post OHT will make the character a more normalized with the rest of the cast. Allow the OHT to launch on all hits. We know that it doesn't not always do this in certain situations.
These changes will not kano the character and he will still be in the top 10 in the game.
Zod
trait is not charged at the start of the match, remove true unblockables with trait (PM me if you do not know as I am not broadcasting them incase they stay)
Rationale. That is literally it. Give zod one less trait activation in a set. Zod with a life lead is, arguable, the hardest character in the entire game to make a comeback on at the highest level of play. Zod has the ability to control the entire screen and get true unblockable, unavoidable damage with nearly EVERY INTERACTABLE IN THE GAME THAT EXCEEDS 40% PER INTERACTABLE. Unfortunately, nobody in the community has summarized these abilities or TYM would have imploded similar to the batgirl glitch. Make swipes do hard knockdowns or the wraith not able to swipe/grab while you are using interactables. At the beginning of the match, zod has the ability to take a 40% life lead with the push of a button. These changes do not damage zod. He still retains the best backdash in the game, >12 ways to safely get trait out, safe 50/50's 8x3=24 times a match. On average, zod is getting trait out ~8 times a match in high level play. Even if u knock him down or push block he can still dash in and mix you up again. It can be argued that zod has bad normals and mediocre footsies. That is true but Zod played correctly does not need to play the game in that range without his opponent risking huge damage to trait activation if they correct read back dash. Not to mention the MB laser which burns time, gives free trait activation on hit or block or an insta air ball. Zod does not need to play footsies. The secret to playing zod is laser use. I have only played one zod player who understands this.
Aquaman
decrease meter gain on MB trident rush
Rationale; Aqua man needs meter to win, period. The MB rush is in the top 5 moves in the entire game. Yes he needs it. Aquaman builds all the meter he needs from his general gameplay. MB rush essentially gives him another MB rush.
