doesnt lead to big damage 33% with trait and 1 bar or 40% 2 bars, can get a reset situation but it can be woken up out of.
if b1 is used at close range you can be hit out of it (this happens to me alot against characters with stubby normals like Flash Batman and sometimes wowo)
Aquaman cant be hit out of his b1 and gets 40% 1 bar damage from it (i think 45% with bgb), he can shoose to put you in the corner if its near or just do standing 3 ftd ender to get distance and turtle, he can also go for his j3 setup from it. theres probably more but idk its 1am and im sleepy

b1~bf1(MB), f3, ji2, b13~4, db1, 223~db1 (41%) 1 bar.

His b1 outranges AM's. It only gets knocked out if the opponent moved pre-emptively. It's your job as the GL player to bait it out then whiff punish. You have the longest reaching normal in the game which also happens to be one of the fastest and you're calling it a bill? I'd gladly swap BG's b1 for GL's.

The risk/reward on his slide is terrible though, and those ambiguous ji2 set ups can only be truly used after a mb grapple set up. how can he get you into a mb grapple set up if he can't open you up? slide leads to nothing, there are ways to combo off of it but at this point I have yet to see a batman do it

Oh I agree, it's a shitty mixup; it still exists though. MB slide gives advantage on knockdown so you can technically apply oki. You can also jail with bats to go for ji2 shit (but that can be pushblocked). If his chip damage was buffed I think it would compensate for his lack of a quick overhead. He still get pseudo mixups as the opponent has to guess whether or not to poke out and risk getting hit or to take the chip damage.

Why do so many people not understand what bill of goods means? Its something that was supposedly good but actually sucks, NOT a statement that was supposedly true but is actually false. "Aquaman is mid tier" is just plain wrong, because he's better than mid tier. That can't be a bill. And things that are obviously shit like Joker, living in Ethiopia, or swimming in piss, can't be bills because no one ever said they were good.

Language, people! Read the OP.

GL gets 3-7d by Zat and MMH its really bad. Only GL players get blown up for saying he has 3/7 matchups while Zod players get to complain but I can't...

I'd glady trade a safe vortex that does 50% damage in the corner for a character that has a good advancing low that leads to low damage lol. GL players have to ACTUALLY play the game unlike half the characters that win with broken shit. We actually have to play the game!!!

So we can clarify the whole "GGA thinks Flash is a bill" thing.

Being "a bill" is relative.

The "bills" we are being "sold" is that he is top 2, he's beyond broken, he's out of control, etc, etc. We only call him a bill because we don't think that. We don't think he is "as advertised".

We do think he's a strong character, just not as strong as non Chicago players do. You don't have to be Green Arrow tier to be a bill. Just not as good as advertised. But we don't think he's a shitter.
