Did 16 Bit give any assessment of the match-up (other than saying you're probably getting outplayed, which you probably are), let alone give a specific match-up number?

I do not care about low gunshots. If Deathstroke had pre-patch low gunshots and Zod had eight seconds of cool down on the trait, I would use Zod instead. I like Deathstroke's character design, but the Deathstroke community, which is entirely made up of fools, morons, and up players, has deterred me. The Deathstroke forum is convinced that Deathstroke is a top 10 character and that the low gunshots normalizations are to be ignored. I cannot in good conscious get involved with such fools.

Idk I actually really like crathen and hippo and both represent their character extremely well

Your opinion of Deathstroke has been ignored by the community for a long time. Nobody in that forum says he's top 10. Get over yourself.

For the record, I am not sure why Martian Manhunter is permitted to remain a "beta" character. Pre-patch Aquaman, Batman, Black Adam, Deathstroke, and Superman were "beta" characters, so they were consequently normalized by the community's requests and complaints. As a Zod player, I had rather fight any of the aforementioned characters in their "beta state" than the current version of Martian Manhunter. The point is, the whiners who demanded that characters like pre-patch Black Adam and pre-patch Superman be normalized need to show consistency and demand that Martian Manhunter's overhead teleport and trait also be normalized.

I've made this complaint before. And I agree, MMH should be normalized, especially with the game entering it's MLG phase. I would suggest Doomsday, due to the low learning curve he has. Currently, he's probably the best pick if you are looking for a fast counter pick against Vanilla MMH. Every other character might take more work, and time, to truly benefit in this MU.
