"How do you enjoy playing like that you fucking [ban incoming]"
When I first starting playing fighting games seriously last year, I caught myself wondering this often. I now see something beautiful within good zoning and love exposing poor zoning. Overall it's like a game of Super Mario or Sonic where one needs to focus on the timing and spacing of their jumps. I Batmain and don't use trait to zone unless I'm closing out a match; so, I also do not get to zone outright too often. But I absolutely love it when a good MM or Sex Luthor locks me out. It's a very specific type of challenge.
However, I can sympathize with the beginning of this dude's salt. Which is my point, while I ggs everyone no matter how frustrated I am, I think we, as a community, should try to empathize with salty people more often. They are either new or randoms; they will either learn or go away. I think alot of us have gone through their struggle when we were learning how to fighting game competitively. As such, I think it is more beneficial to use threads like these to empathize with these poor, salty fucks. Personally, it has made it easier to deal with their, more often than not, quite unpalatable, hate speech.
With all that in mind, I used to main GL. When I first brought out John Stewart and dedicated myself to practicing different resets I encountered this gem:
"fuckn n*gger"
I have never before and have not since yet to be labeled such. I could not help but think it had to do with my character skin (pun...uggh). That shit had me steaming. A lot of this comment comes from trying to deal with shit like that without getting salty myself. I am just trying to have fun.
TL;DR Hippy shit, yay empathy.
