I've had the same thing happen! Guy is talking into the mic sayin ima get bodied to his aqua guy. I pick Ares and start zoning him, and like all scrubs he has a fit. Every time I throw a projectile he says "nigga u spammy a fuck". The funny thing is, every time he try's to cry me into rushing him, I would teleport in and he still would get caught with d1d4. He couldn't even stop random godsmacks....he spent the whole two matches yelling about how I suc and keep spamming specials and sword combos. Like ares has anything else to do lol.

We were all nice and cool playing casuals and then he picks his main(supes) so I chose Deathstroke and bodied him 4 - 0... He then proceeds to chew me out over the mic saying I pick him because he's a spam character and that only faggy bitches use Deathstroke. They always ignore the part when you put them in the corner and land 3 40% combos in a row because they don't know how to block. But what do I know? I pick a spam character
Dude yesterday I played a Deathstroke player and I played Cyborg. i just did the usually iafb (the best i could lol) and he just stood there taking the chip. i ended up winning 2 straight. He then sent me messages of the usual "spamming/ u suck/ learn a combo" etc. etc. I known ranking has really no meaning but this dude had a 15 TS rank. So I knew he was gonna send messages of "spam". I send him an invite to play again and he picked Sinestro and i picked Shazam. I than beat him 2 straight times. He than sent me an invite to the party and to my disbelieveThis guy first used Green Arrow and I chose Cyborg. He spent most of the match trying to land ice arrows, so I did Nova Blaster in return until I beat him. He rematched and chose Nightwing, doing Wing Dings the whole time. I let him take my first bar and then I did aerial Nova Blaster to beat him. He hid the cursor and chose Aquaman after I picked Cyborg again for match 3. I got a lucky time out win due to him doing a combo, allowing me to clash heal enough to win, to which he called me a lucky bitch on the mic. I responded it wasn't so much that I was lucky as he was a moron for not keeping an eye on the meter. He chose rematch, but I left due to his blatant counter picking. The salt flowed forth.
Me: "Winning is always good. An instance of spamming is good by proxy if I can do it and beat someone 3-0."

I still don't get why people complain about spamming. Unless lag forbids proper punishment, spam is usually easy to beat and only scrubs wouldn't do whatever it takes to win matches, assuming the means aren't cheating. If someone is dumb enough to keep getting hit by a move, their opponent should keep doing it. Also, how is try hard an insult? If someone isn't trying to win, then they're either playing the game incorrectly or are trolling (which is often used as an excuse to explain away a loss).
I haven't been getting much hate mail, mainly because I haven't played IGAU that much lately. I tend to get more mic rage than hate mail nowadays, which makes me wish I had a capture card. I think the funniest one was some Lex Luthor player named blackrepu6lican complaining as soon as I chose Hawkgirl because she's supposedly a spam character. During the match, he called me a counter picking scrub because I did MB Mace Charge to punish his mine tossing.
Yes, he accused me of counter picking Lex with Hawkgirl. If anything, I counter picked myself because Lex has at least a 7.5/10 advantage against Hawkgirl. I still don't know what Hawkgirl can spam. Dodge her Mace Toss and jump the Mace Charge.

I just punish with standing 3 xx trait load. he starts jump forward i than punish with 3 xx mb shots for 34% and than load shells. i did this 3 straight times b4 he yelled in the mic saying "OOOOHHH You knw how too spam with Lobo ! Match starts and I'm feeling out the fight trying to stay out of his range and snag him with an ice arrow while he loaded the shells. Drop his first lifebar and then he starts jumping forward towards me....*constantly*. So I have a wicked thought, load an ice arrow, and do a jumping ice arrow and punish him. He does it again, so I reply in turn. And again. Pause.....crouching low, ice arrow is pulled.....he jumps and I release it again. And........ragequit.
So I send him a message:
"Maybe you shouldn't jump so much, lol"
"maybe you shouldnt shoot arrows all the time you fuckin pussy ass bitch"
I'm focused in on a set i'm involved in and afterward I send him:

ive had that happen to me b4 too. not by the same ppl tho. Lol. and for the record that dude is an idiot because at best Lobo-Zod is a 5-5 but alot of the Lobo and Zods players on here think its 6-4 Zod favor lol. That dude just sucks with Zod.

Ares OP? Lol... It's all just people being too lazy to learn matchups. If you don't know how to fight him he seems like he's insanely good but once you learn his gimmicks he's pretty simple to deal with.
