Fools, Zod is a well-balanced character.

Also Raven vs Zod is a 5/5 usually since Raven can control the speed of the match quite well. Soul Crush does help her quite well. However Zod snowballs quite well with trait.
The thing that pushes it over the edge for me is instant air zod balls which are perfect these make Zod's snowball game ridiculous in the matchup Raven has no options if he can keep two low ones on the screen. They combo into one another if she gets hit by one so trading with soul crush is generally a bad idea. Also Zod gets to tech roll and keep doing them.
She can not even absorb them since he can make a "reflect trap" where a fast Zod ball hits you during your absorption recovery frames. If you get hit it means free trait for Zod. To prevent this you are forced to take trades to get trait out. Also Raven loses all trades with Zod balls unless you do a traited pull from far away then tech roll and soul crush. This does not always work depending the Zod balls which are on screen.
The Zod balls just allow him to build free meter and trait once he gets one knockdown.

No, NW vs ZOD is 7-3 ZOD most likely but 3/4 distance if you were not a lazy player you'd realize wtf to do and everytime w trait I go for a 50/50 mix up make me waste it by blowing me up w pound MB b3 combo into OKi because ZOD has no wakeups

Im not good at fighting games and i admit that i can only sometimes fraud my way out of some matches because GL is incredibly easy to play because of his b1 and lift. I agree. To insinuate Zod is not top because he takes effort is a logical fallacy. There's this character called C. Viper who everyone thought sucked because her learning curve was high. 2 years later, she was generally agreed to be Top 3 in the game. Her normals are bad but her vortex is ridiculous. Same with Zod. His wakeups are terrible and his mobility is mediocre, but he'd be broken if they were good.

That was sarcasm. I've played Dave before and I understand that the MU is rough for NW. The point I'm trying to get across is that Zod clearly is one of the best characters in the game, yet with all his dirt people still find it fair and balanced cause he can't wakeup for free and doesn't have unblockables. Unless you count guaranteed interactables. Boo hoo.

Honestly, Zod doesn't bother me. I don't think he's broken. I just pick Martian and enjoy myself. That still doesn't mean I don't see how stupid he is.
