I personally don't mind Zod as a Harley player, guns cupcakes and push block help in every MU I play against a Zod. Granted I need to work on my spacing and footsies, but I tried to use Zod and no thank you, I'll stick to my MB Cupcakes. Besides as I stated in Fred Marvel's thread, this game is balanced well and so are the characters. The problems I have with characters are of my own lack of knowledge (and the fact I'm a scrub) not because the game isn't balanced.
