Learn how to dodge. Simplest way to beat the game and bosses. This game has been either impossibly difficult, or simple breezy. I blew through the final parts of the Bastille, couldn't beat the Gargoyles, blew through Huntsman's Copse, but then got wrecked once I got to to the Greatsword Phantom and even the Chariot boss. Bleed damage was wrecking me and I lost a ton of valuable souls.
I'm running a Knight with high Strength and Vitality, w/ some points in Adapt and Dext. I also have enough Faith to Heal. Suggestions for good farming spots or maintaining a strong Knight build?
I'm decent at dodging, suck at parrying (unless it's a nice 1 on 1) and pretty used to the Souls games. The Gargoyles are mad tough if you don't have a lot of ranged attacks. I have a ton of arrows, no bow... a nice crossbow, almost no bolts. Throwing knives are worthless for bosses.Learn how to dodge. Simplest way to beat the game and bosses.
brotherhoood of blood you can pvp in the arenas or invade people because thats prettyy much thee main placce for invading I thinkWhere' that?
well the big shields help so damn much iin thiis game exceptt ds1Learn how to dodge. Simplest way to beat the game and bosses.
i've found that adaptability is actually really really good. Gives you a ton more invincibility frames on your rolls and can help you squeeze in a healing item during a boss fight.I'm decent at dodging, suck at parrying (unless it's a nice 1 on 1) and pretty used to the Souls games. Kinda sucks that there aren't good places to buy varied weapons--at least in the first 30-40% of the game.
Good place to find a bow? I literally haven't seen one lol.i've found that adaptability is actually really really good. Gives you a ton more invincibility frames on your rolls and can help you squeeze in a healing item during a boss fight.
and ya, most of the good weapons come later. If possible though, i suggest getting a bow of some kind, they are extremely useful
I see the level for a "finished" character being a little higher because of Adaptability. I'm a little disappointed in a few of the boss weapons, but I do like the added effects of certain pieces of armor.i've found that adaptability is actually really really good. there is a short bow in a chest right next to the very first blacksmith in majulaGood place to find a bow? I literally haven't seen one lol.
Dude, the phantom hits are my #1 complaint. How are you supposed to learn spacing when it's random as hell? At least make the phantom hits consistent, lol. Been wrecking shop with my Claymore, but I can already see how the meta is going to look based on the effectiveness of longer ranged weapons. Long ranged weapons such as spears are going to be very good in PvP. Also, sorcery is very good in PvP and not useless like in DS1 (except for dark magic). Projectiles in general are looking to be very good in PvP, and even more so when you factor in online problems such as phantom hits and lag stabs.Dks pvp had shit netcode, removed the fix for laggy backstage that was in DS and had some downright stupid shit and hurtboxes. Right now all I really dislike in 2 are the retarded phantom hitboxes online
and here we go the complaining startsclaymore, greatswords, a certain greathammer and soul orbs all have stupid range, I never get that shit with my manslayer and I'm punished for rolling away after a whiffed hit up close. And that broken ass big machete strong attack.
the funny thing is even my blue helbird can stun my enemy and keep attacking him + my estocwhat sl? You don't generally have enough stamina for more than 2. I know with katanas I get 2 hit then I have to guess of either swing again or run attack
there's a ring that they can invade you even if they are a 60/70 more level then you areI'm sl150 with shit low/mid level gear lol. Can't upgrade anything because I don't have the dull ember yet so I get owned in PvP. I have no idea what SL these invaders and dragon riders are but they all have end game maxed out crap that's for sure lol.
Also my Soul Memory is over 3M so I have trouble being summoned.
i have a whip in my offhand, its godlike for wiff punishingStun infinites are still in the game. :/ Blocking doesn't matter when people are using swords bigger than them and imbued with magic/lightning. They do 4-5 consecutive swings and still have stamina to roll and run away or block..
Halberds are what I use in PVE and I like them but I've had little success with them in PvP. They are pretty straight forward and predictable. They have good range but are also easy to avoid and don't represent a huge threat (except for the risky two-handed spins).
btw the Whips seem to have bigger range than spears/halberds. They are pretty average as main weapon but I could see it being useful as secondary. Especially the ones that can cause bleeding.
Basically, if you get the bridge arena in bloodbros and you find a soul orb mage, feel free to jump off the bridge.i have a whip in my offhand, its godlike for wiff punishing

and ya, magic is super fucking good. If you give a caster time to set-up you are done
