you but his defense when he has it was so much better, they literally left him with no go to defensive options. before he could safely check a lot of characters with d2, like most character could with d1, for example dash ups, now i have to be precise with d2 or i will get blown up, anyone can dash up on flash in range now, because if i whiff i get punished, when characters like aqua mans can d1 freely even on whiff and catch you, (look at rico's gameplay) not only that, but missing anti airs are super risky now, when before he could still get away with trying to anti air an air dash character and not get punished. honestly i just want the whiff recovery back, make it -29 on block, but on whiff give him back this unique d2 in the game that works like a d1 (because flash's d1 has no range) to stop dash ups and helps with anti airs. flash has now answer for dash ins like other characters do (mmh, aqua, BA, etc) i have to preemptive b2 or risk a d2.
In the history of this community, a few characters have had discussions like this once a month (at least it feels like it)..

Thats kinda how you balance him. He has to be weak on the defensive end at some point because of how good he is at everything else. The same thing is true with post patch Adam. No AA and no mixups but still really good just have to deal with what you are weak to.

Batmans is actually decent but they never need it cause of bats. I personally hate Adams and i think Ravens is actually okay. What about Catwoman, Scorpion, harley maybe as well? I just havent seen the bad d2s enough well cause they are bad lol. Ive never even seen cyborgs or ares.
I don't think BG is that bad, but you're still better off with early air to air j1 or 2 so the point is moot.
