anyone who knows me Knows I HATE STAFFWINGS >_< lol I used to be that scrub online who only did MB GP in staff and thought I was cool B) lol.
The first thing I can not stess enough, if batman has meter and you are in staff but not in his face SWITCH STANCES his MB batarangs combined with trait Will tear you a new asshole lol.

OK, sooo Staff is more of a defensive tool then offensive in the match. If you feel the batman player is Yolo j2 or mashing it up or you just are having a hard time staying on him in escrima I got a few strategies to share. I like to do staff cancels into staff spin, free chip, free meter and really solid pressure. after Mb staff spin I recommend sweep, standing 2, 1f1, or more staff spin. in staff Jump back 2 or NJ2 will counter jump ins and we all know how good nightwings j2 is in staff. you can take about 40% on a jump in. if bats is applying pressure and jumps at the end of a string jump back 2 usually will hit him and you get a nice conversion. this is how I deal with Batman players. outside of this dont stay in staff and challenge bats to a zone game while he has meter. He can trap you or use his double jump to get out of your zone and waste time for his trait to come back. I personally dont like staff in this match up, cape parry stops most of your traps so you will have to be alert.

game just watch out for cape parry and play normal, his wake ups are bad.

UUUh yea thats all I can think of atm again this is just me playing and using it as an example.

I'm sitting in the midst of a character crisis and I haven't been playing Injustice much, but I'll share what I can. I'm going to try to sit down for an hour tonight and break down another MU for you guys. No promises.

Can anyone gives me tips on the batman matchup? The Do's and the don'ts, dealing with zoning, his trait, what to do in the corner, and midscreen, how do I condition batman to fear the dick! Lol

I will add that this MU is a tug of war for the lifelead. And obviously, abuse his ass on wakeup. Never play the full screen game! You are bound to lose unless you are sitting on a comfortable life lead, but even then I don't recommend it. If you get caught being zoned full screen(or pretty much any range he will throw them) with batarang you can check with staff pound. Once they block pound they lose the zoning battle. But, you want to be in escrima for mobility reasons. I usually stance switch immediately if they block a pound. Don't jump batarangs too much, they can up batarang on read or MB normal batarang to catch your jump. Ground spark does more damage than batarang and is good for space control once they respect it. Pushblock if he touches you with trait. I play a more conservative footsie game/more aggressive rushdown when he has trait. He will not hold trait for long since everytime you touch him it's a frametrap. He shouldn't parry much either since Flipkick punishes it 100% of the time. Same corner game as usual. He is also more susceptible to staff jump ins. That's all I got for now.

So since there was some discussion about MMH/NW in another thread, here is me vs AZ's MMH player last night.

@gpmoney this might help a bit. I play the MU super lame and rely on post teleport game/staff zoning to deal with MMH's slower grounded options. j2 in staff is also good for dealing with MMH's long air dash.

I think it's NW favor, but not some super ridiculous number. NW has the tools to deal with everything Ares has, but he can get steamrolled depending on the stage/pace of the match.

is it safe to say Nightwing has to fight Aquaman in staff mode mostly? D2 in Escrima is too slow to anti air his J2 or J3. Staff at 8 frames keeps him honest.

Shit is annoying, even if I back dash and make Aquaman whiff, B2 isn't fast enough to beat one of his low pokes.

I switch for resets and air wing dings if I read his from the deep but yea just keep ground pounding that mofo

Yea, sometimes it becomes a ground pound battle, I try to rely on my resets too; his wake up is funny (it's a 2 hit wake up right?) I just look out for that low scoop and go in for a punish to the point he stops using that.

He should never be waking up on you, in staff mode use GP to stuff his wake ups and if you become patterned do empty jumps or delayed jump 3 into wingding, works every time :cool:

In the neutral game, don't block high. Her overheads (f3 and f2233 I think) are easily react able to while her low (b1) isn't.
If you get knocked full screen and she traits up, don't stay still. She gets something dumb like 22% in chip and hella bar. Blocked pillar = free attempt at grab. If you're in escrima and you make the read that she's gonna do pillar into another pillar (not the one in front of her obviously) dash forward, if you're in staff flying Grayson. If she does grab though you eat shit lol. 6-4 raven IMO
