Congrats Jupiter!
Oh please. Nobody ever thought Martian Manhunter was bad. Everyone around here agrees that he's a top tier character, but the issue has been people saying that he was going to *dominate* the tournament scene for free. I saw Reo enter DTN, and I saw him get defeated very convincingly by Rico suave and then eliminated in losers by Arma who got the runback. I just saw Rico completely shut Reo's gameplan down again.Once upon a time an ignorant fool exclaimed "Where are the Martian Manhunter players in the top 8? Why are they not winning?". The wise man responded by saying "When they enter tournaments, they will win". And so it was.
dont u mean insert a quarter to continue enjoying yourself?Great logic there: Jupiter was an EC Jax player in MK9.
Insert quarter to continue.
They said that because he has been laying low in IGAU and wasn't able to attend the tournies until recently.oh i didnt know he went to MK tournaments but i didnt only mean jupiter, why was everyone saying he came out of nowhere then?
ah i see i was talking about Rico Suave, KDZ, Darth Arma who were all top 8 and Rico and Arma were 1 and 2 at DTNThey said that because he has been laying low in IGAU and wasn't able to attend the tournies until recently.
But he had a great Jax in MK9, attended east coast majors, and was becoming a beast before the game died.
As far as other players, I'm not sure what you meant -- REO and SonicFox are also MK players, so that's 3/4 of the Top 4.
Ok, but if 3 out of 4 of the Top 4 was former MK players, and one of them won, how does that equate to your statement that the best players are people who didn't play MK?ah i see i was talking about Rico Suave, KDZ, Darth Arma who were all top 8 and Rico and Arma were 1 and 2 at DTN
Also, at one point DarthArma was one of the top ranked players in MK9 online. But even if you don't count him, it seems like your argument doesn't hold water.
well ill admit i was under the impression jupiter wasnt an mk player but i wasnt just talking about this tournament and i said "starting to look like they might" lol i didnt say "non MK players are better at injustice" so calm yourselfOk, but if 3 out of 4 of the Top 4 was former MK players, and one of them won, how does that equate to your statement that the best players are people who didn't play MK?
Confused.

I'm not angry.. I'm just asking what about this tournament made you decide that it's starting to look like the best Injustice players are guys who didn't play MK9. Because the logic didn't make any sense based on the results.well ill admit i was under the impression jupiter wasnt an mk player but i wasnt just talking about this tournament and i said "starting to look like they might" lol i didnt say "non MK players are better at injustice" so calm yourself
the point i was making was maybe being an MK player doesnt make you as automatically better as people seem to think it does
im not saying these guys never picked up a mk game but they were the big MK community tourney guys id say names but im not trying to put anyone on blast or fire shots, just making observations.
mhh is over rated, just look at how well rico played and he just got back in to injustice.Once upon a time an ignorant fool exclaimed "Where are the Martian Manhunter players in the top 8? Why are they not winning?". The wise man responded by saying "When they enter tournaments, they will win". And so it was.
im just gonna stop here and say your questions were answered in my previous posts. whether you wanna start reading the things i said is completely up to youI'm not angry.. I'm just asking what about this tournament made you decide that it's starting to look like the best Injustice players are guys who didn't play MK9. Because the logic didn't make any sense based on the results.
I'm not even going to bring up NEC
he's not overrated just not brain dead, the reason everyone isnt dominating with him is because he takes effort and skill to use correctly, when the other top tiers are alot easier to usemhh is over rated, just look at how well rico played and he just got back in to injustice.
people need to stop acting as if any scrub could win with MHH.
reo would had made top 8 with or w/o mhh and jupiter is the best martian.
The same guy who won this tournament entered the biggest post-patch tournament to date, a tournament that featured more than 8 players (by about 100) and didn't make it out of pools. This is by no means a diss on Jupiter who's obviously a tremendous player, but using this tournament while ignoring NEC for some sort of vindication is hilarious. We were specifically told that REO was going to be the one to dominate, and correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he get 3rd at DTN last week?
So yeah, MMH won a tournament. Good, it's overdue. He's a great character used by two great players (and Shujynkidink...apparently) so it makes sense that he won a tourney. Is there anything else this is supposed to prove? Variable block stun maybe (sorry, couldn't resist)?
Certain people want to make mhh look like a kabal which is not the case.he's not overrated just not brain dead, the reason everyone isnt dominating with him is because he takes effort and skill to use correctly, when the other top tiers are alot easier to use
To clarify on this:starting to look like the best injustice players might be guys who arent mk players/werent around in the mk days.....
Prefect wording at the end yet... for now.. because "you just don't know"But anyway props to this top 3. Props to REO for a successful return to the MKC, props to Rico for a return to form and props to Jupiter. There's no denying he's the best MMH for now.

Northeast is the only scene that has more than like 2 top players that didn't play MK9 as far as I can see. I could be wrong though.
The only reason he didn't make it out of pools at NEC is because he didn't know the Lex Luthor matchup and also he had to get through me lol jk but we by far had the hardest pool at NEC. RenoRacks, Cdjr, godspeed, pimpimjim, me, jupiter were all put in the same pool. Only two people get to make it out.The same guy who won this tournament entered the biggest post-patch tournament to date, a tournament that featured more than 8 players (by about 100) and didn't make it out of pools. This is by no means a diss on Jupiter who's obviously a tremendous player, but using this tournament while ignoring NEC for some sort of vindication is hilarious.
