I put Nightwing in my bottom 5 anyway to be safe. Chill y'all.
Saying Nightwing can outzone Cyborg and then saying he's bottom 5 makes about as much sense as Tom Brady calling us arrogant fucks and then saying he's got no problem with us.
I play against
K7L33THA regularly. So I'm glad he was there to shut this "Nightwing can outzone Cyborg" shit down. At best - Nightwing can interupt and score a knockdown. I play SuddenBlackout and K7 all the time. I have studied this MU extensively and on days when we have a good connection - we go even. So I feel comfortable when I say the only ZONING I'm doing in this MU is pinning him in the corner with MB wingdings to prevent him from ziplining the fuck out whenever he wants. Because if he recognizes that I will respect his powerfist wakeup - he's getting out of the corner and I've just lost the match.
WoundCowboy will attest to the fact that both he and I initially believed Nightwing DID outzone Sinestro. It didn't take long for both of us to recognize how much of a lie that turned out to be. Nightwing can interupt Sinestro's zoning, but that's as far as it goes.
Trying to lame out Superman will end faster than a knife fight in a phonebooth. Superman just needs to trait up and with one read he's done more damage than Nightwing has done in 3 with less risk/reward.
Sajam has figured out the GL MU by discovering that NW only wins that MU from absolute full screen. There is nowhere else on the screen that Nightwing's options are favored in the risk/reward. Steve plays this MU incredibly lame - what makes you think he hasn't tried the same with every other MU? Saying that Nightwing players haven't explored the lame aspect of the character is a slap in the face to Steve. Also, unless you've played the CORN Nightwing players - you haven't fucking SEEN rushdown Nightwing yet.
GGA Slips There simply is no mixup after MB Staff spin at midscreen.
WoundCowboy has been asking me to show him what you're talking about and I can't, because it doesn't exist. It's not real. Here's what happens after a MB staff spin - I have to make the read as to whether or not you will backdash the follow up, in which case - I am doing jump forward 1 to catch you, or I'm doing stand 1 MB ground blast to buy myself a dash in. Block low against staff until you either see 1. Nightwing leave the ground 2. The swooping 22frame overhead which - contrary to your comments - looks nothing like ground blast.
And if it so happens you eat a quick stand 12 - you can tech roll. From now you're out of pressure and if you just chill for a second - you'll probably be able to d2 the inevitable flying grayson from the shitty NW players. Or against a good NW player - they'll switch back to escrima - recognizing that they gave up pressure for a 4% overhead and the risk/reward of a flying grayson is fucking retarded against anyone who knows how to deal with it.
People getting blown up by Staff stance are either unfamiliar to it's properties or are being entirely too impatient. After bit lost to Hruza in tournament he took that shit to the lab.
GGA 16 Bit hasn't lost to
Hruza Da Bruza in tournament ONCE since the first time he lost to Hruza. Bit studied the MU, he learned how to cope with the one trick pony bullshit - and now Hruza is being forced to level up. I fucking love seeing Hruza do well - I know that in your scene, Hruza can quickly become one of the best Nightwing players in the country. But you're all doing him a disservice when you let him get away with fucking murder. I can't count how many times people let him d1 after a whiffed flying grayson.
I'm not the best representative of my character. I don't talk MU numbers. I don't post new tech. I get bodied online all the fucking time. But I know when someone is talking out of ignorance with regards to my character and there's a whole lot of that going on this week.
Happy Veterans Day by the way. 'Merica
