I'm feeling pretty good about the attendance for this one. Chicago, PROBABLY Ohio (in terms of Arcade Legacy...not sure about the CoCo peeps), new Indiana folks who have recently started coming out, Perfect Legend....

Just waiting on you, Atlanta. :D

Smarrgasm told me that him and Reno probably won't be going. I can't speak for the rest of Atlanta. :\

Understood. That WOULD be quite the car ride for them, so I can't really fault them for that.

My ass is definitely flying down there again for Final Round, next year though. There's no way that I'm making that trip in my car. I'd go insane.

Less than two weeks away!

As a reminder, they will begin sign-up's and payments at 10 am on that Saturday. Per the OP, you can e-mail them to make the sign-up process quicker. However, payments must be done ON-SITE.

PLAYING TO W1N

Heya P2W. I used to reach out to Ribbz and Frothyomen in the past about events in our area here in Indianapolis so that they could pass the word along to others in Ohio. However, I have not heard from them in regards to this event for some time. So I thought that I might just send you a quick notice out of the blue, lol.

I'm not entirely sure where you guys reside, but I wanted to let you guys know of this event if you had not already heard of it. I know that this will be short notice if this is the first that you've heard of this. It's looking to have a good turnout, as GGA and others from Chicago are planning on attending.

If it's too far of a trip, I understand. As I said, wasn't entirely sure which part of Ohio you all live at. I just wanted to make sure that you were aware of this event, at least. :)

By the way, congrats on your 2nd place finish at Youmacon. Your Sinestro looks very scary.

Updated OP with latest version of schedule. Also, they decided to swap out one of the anime games for Blaz Blue: Chrono Phantasma

Wish I had a copy of Chrono Phantasma to practice with. Would be nice to get back into my prime with that game.

So a bit of breaking news here:

Our tournament organizer has decided to make this a one-day event for that Saturday, rather than a tw0-day event for that Saturday and Sunday. More details should be announced later tonight. Once they are, I'll copy and paste them here in this thread.

Alright, so as I said: Naptown Clutch III will be a one-day event (sort of). All tournaments will start and finish on that Saturday. Below is the official announcement from the tournament organizer:

"OK EVERYONE, YES IT WILL BE A ONE DAY EVENT NOW! We have decided to go this route to make it easier for everyone coming, as well as other people that were trying to make it. We will run all tournaments until completion on Saturday (day 1), the Main Theater room will be available on the Sunday (day2) for everyone to play casuals, money matches or just hang out! the venue fee still is the same, that will still cover the second day for those that want to get some more fights in! If you are only coming for the second day is only $5. If you bring a full station it will be $5 per person during day 1... what's expected for those bringing stations will be posted later today. Thanks for your support!"

I've gone ahead and updated the OP with the final schedule.

Is there an updated schedule so people that plan to play multiple games know how to manage their time? I plan on playing more than MK and Injustice, but if matches are going to interfere with each other I'll limit the games I play.

I updated the schedule picture in the original post, just a few minutes ago. If you haven't already, I would follow the early sign-up instructions that are listed in that post, so that the organizer can put you in pools for the different games so that they will interfere with each other as little as possible.

As you wish :)

As long as I'm on schedule with movers and packing and everything I should be there!

Just an FYI for everyone:

Stage rules for Injustice will be 50/50 random for all matches (unless the loser of the previous match hits Rematch)

Do we have to arrive at 10 to get badge/pay? Or can I get there closer to game time?
I honestly don't know. I would definitely go through the Pre-registration steps in the OP so you will at least have your name assigned to a pool. And if you're coming for sure, I can make sure that the TO puts you in the bracket so you could then just pay when you get there. But you'll definitely need to do the pre-registration e-mail before I can do that.

Oh, and for the MK 9 high roller: I'm pretty sure that the plan is to actually have pool matches be Best 3 out of 5 and not 2 out of 3 like the OP says.

Just over a week to go!

Being the 2nd Best Batman of the Midwest that I am, I'm feeling really good about my Top 8 chances!
