I'm feeling pretty good about the attendance for this one. Chicago, PROBABLY Ohio (in terms of Arcade Legacy...not sure about the CoCo peeps), new Indiana folks who have recently started coming out, Perfect Legend....
Just waiting on you, Atlanta.
Understood. That WOULD be quite the car ride for them, so I can't really fault them for that.Smarrgasm told me that him and Reno probably won't be going. I can't speak for the rest of Atlanta. :\
PLAYING TO W1N
Heya P2W. I used to reach out to Ribbz and Frothyomen in the past about events in our area here in Indianapolis so that they could pass the word along to others in Ohio. However, I have not heard from them in regards to this event for some time. So I thought that I might just send you a quick notice out of the blue, lol.
I'm not entirely sure where you guys reside, but I wanted to let you guys know of this event if you had not already heard of it. I know that this will be short notice if this is the first that you've heard of this. It's looking to have a good turnout, as GGA and others from Chicago are planning on attending.
If it's too far of a trip, I understand. As I said, wasn't entirely sure which part of Ohio you all live at. I just wanted to make sure that you were aware of this event, at least.
By the way, congrats on your 2nd place finish at Youmacon. Your Sinestro looks very scary.
Updated OP with latest version of schedule. Also, they decided to swap out one of the anime games for Blaz Blue: Chrono Phantasma
Alright, so as I said: Naptown Clutch III will be a one-day event (sort of). All tournaments will start and finish on that Saturday. Below is the official announcement from the tournament organizer:
"OK EVERYONE, YES IT WILL BE A ONE DAY EVENT NOW! We have decided to go this route to make it easier for everyone coming, as well as other people that were trying to make it. We will run all tournaments until completion on Saturday (day 1), the Main Theater room will be available on the Sunday (day2) for everyone to play casuals, money matches or just hang out! the venue fee still is the same, that will still cover the second day for those that want to get some more fights in! If you are only coming for the second day is only $5. If you bring a full station it will be $5 per person during day 1... what's expected for those bringing stations will be posted later today. Thanks for your support!"
I've gone ahead and updated the OP with the final schedule.
I updated the schedule picture in the original post, just a few minutes ago. If you haven't already, I would follow the early sign-up instructions that are listed in that post, so that the organizer can put you in pools for the different games so that they will interfere with each other as little as possible. Is there an updated schedule so people that plan to play multiple games know how to manage their time? I plan on playing more than MK and Injustice, but if matches are going to interfere with each other I'll limit the games I play.
Thank you!As you wish
As long as I'm on schedule with movers and packing and everything I should be there!
Do we have to arrive at 10 to get badge/pay? Or can I get there closer to game time?Just an FYI for everyone:
Stage rules for Injustice will be 50/50 random for all matches (unless the loser of the previous match hits Rematch)
I honestly don't know. I would definitely go through the Pre-registration steps in the OP so you will at least have your name assigned to a pool. And if you're coming for sure, I can make sure that the TO puts you in the bracket so you could then just pay when you get there. But you'll definitely need to do the pre-registration e-mail before I can do that.Do we have to arrive at 10 to get badge/pay? Or can I get there closer to game time?
I have no idea what their plans are for that. You can try asking in the Facebook event page, if you want. When can we find out what pools we are in.
