Heads up!
Any out of NA members that have a froakie they can trade...it would be much appreciated. I need the medusa method for shinys...these 1/8048 odds arent cutting it.

I went online and did some free singles battles for the first time last night. I did way better than I expected considering it was my first bit of competitive battling I've done. I lost one or two due to sheer dumb luck, and then the other one or two to bad reads due to bad reads. Overall I went pretty even, I would say it was a good first session. My Goodra is looking like a motherfucking monster I'm very proud of my creation at this point. When I can actually get Tyrantrum into sweeper mode he is a beast too, however I think I'm going to breed for a different nature and try to fix him up a bit more. Then there is Alakazam who is...well...it is just Alakazam. :) Although I'm going to probably adjust him a bit too. My set I have with him now is just too risky it seems, this is what it looks like:

Alakazam
Nature- Hasty
Item- Alakazite
EV's- Sp.Atk 252/Speed 252/HP 4

Dazzling Gleam
Focus Blast
Shadow Ball
Psyshock

With this set I'm completely free to pursuit and if I run into anything with shadow sneak my sweep is over. I do have coverage from pretty much every angle with this set, but I could probably put in a more defensive move at this point like protect, or give it a focus sash so that it can actually take a hit and continue it's sweeping. I'm going to keep it the way it is now and just keep playing though because I think I can make this work and I can literally at most two hit KO almost everything with it. Alakazam was easy to do though because it's obvious on how to set him up stat wise, but my GOODRA THOUGH! ULLLLLL

Edit: I'm at work atm so I can't add anyone yet, but first chance I get I'm adding everyone who posted a friend code in this thread.

I have some Froakies and I can trade. You can give me whatever you want since I have all 3 starters now. I also have all 3 gen 1 starters too if anyone is interested.

The kind of hacking referred to in the article doesn't really hurt the game that much. You still can't get pokemon with broken stats or moves they can't normally learn or that kind of thing, people will just to use it more easily obtain pokemon with moves/ivs/evs/nature they want. It saves hours of grinding and breeding in game every time you want to alter your team

i was wondering if i was the only one who thought that lol, not using legendaries/mewtwo is like a unwritten rule imo i mean they are the best, we all get them, and its boring seeing the same 3 pokemon over and over
that being said i was bodying mega luciarios,xerneas', yvetals, and mewtwo x's on a regular with my crobat :)

There's ways around this. You can basically guarantee Perfect IV's by breeding hacked Pokemon with 31/31/31/31/31/31 with a Ditto with the same stat line holding destiny knot, Plus, you can use everstone to get a 60% chance of your desired nature. Then you send the breeded mons to the bank.
