proof of there being more people on mk 9 than injustice on both systems? that seems like complete bullshit lol, even if this game is somewhat "dying" (i dont think it is personally, and it might get a lot more players with the ultimate edition/next gen releases)

The FGC as a whole could learn a lot from the Smash community.

Every local event I go to - Smash players showing up with anywhere from 25-50 heads.

Granted, their game isn't online. So they HAVE to show up, and that's their greatest strength.

They have to meet up to play, and that's why their game is still relevant nearly 10 years later.

What the fuck is the point of playing online if you're never going to compete offline?

Best reason: no choice but to play online.

I think that's part of why people have slim pickings online. A lot of good players still have their offline scenes because the game is new, versus something like MK where it's becoming increasingly difficult to find committed offline comp. Something is better than nothing, though. I play online personally because my work hours preclude me going to locals.

A strong online scene is as important as offline, because either way your game is being played so you can continue to play it.

Of course the offline is really the life of fighting games but LBSH Injustice online isn't dead, there was like one night where it was pretty dead but there will be a very low pop at this time with so many new release, as for example Arkham origins today.

Then Battlefield 4 just 6 days later.

And Call of Duty Ghosts a week later...

I know not everyone who plays injustice will play all of these, but they're very popular and people will be playing these over Injustice.

Who is this smash community and which fighting game is it that they play with no online features?

Lol. Nah, not a joke I swear. My only fighting game I ever really played is injustice. Don't follow the others.
But I have heard of smash bros, just was not aware that your "smash" meant smash brothers.

Shocker to me that a popular Nintendo game has no internet feature.

it has no internet feature because it was for the gamecube and that had no online from what i remember at least lol

i hope you guys won't drop injustice for mk10 (but i know it won't happen lol, mk10 will have a lot of things from injustice's system, imo the only things in injustice won't be in mk10 are traits and clash).
lol @ now injustice is dead, remember mk9 in 2011? i don't know about you but to me it's getting hype, the game is good and balanced.

TBH i don't have faith in MK10 being better. Maybe, i'd have to see it to believe it at this point. I'm just affraid that this is the direction nrs wants to go, with increasingly simple games.

I rarely play them, I hate when i'm gagging to play the game though and all i have is randoms, I usually just don't play online and spend some time in practice.
