This game is ridiculously balanced

Why has no one raved about this yet? I have no freaking idea. But let's face it, the game is very well balanced. I WISH MK9 was half as balanced as Injustice is right now.

Now don't get me wrong. This game has it's retarded characters. The three stupidest characters in the game (in my opinion, of course) are:

MMH
Aquaman
Zod

And there is no denying that. And sure the game also has some very lopsided match-ups like:

MMH vs Green Arrow (8-2)
Aquaman vs Scorpion (8-2)
etc. etc.

But even so. The silliness doesn't just stop at the top three. You have characters like Killer Frost, Batgirl, Superman, Green Lantern, Black Adam, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc. etc. that aren't too far behind at all. They are literally right there besides the leading characters.

Just think of how much a mess MK9 was with some of the top tiers. No one in Injustice holds a candle to Kabal. We're talking about a character with no even match-ups, for christ's sake. How stupid does that look and sound? How could someone possibly fathom or justify a character like that who exists as being okay? To make things worse, 80% of the cast could barely even fight the next character in line that was Kenshi. What an imbalanced train wreck.

At least the top three in Injustice have even match-ups. At least the top three in Injustice have some form of weakness. At least some "mid tiers" can give the top three in Injustice a run for their money.

And don't get me started on the bottom tier for MK:9. Gosh, they were terrible. Such complete wastes of space that you would turn the most innocent man into a ravaging salty demon with the sole purpose of uncovering the reason behind such character's uselessness. The bottom tier in this game? They still look pretty good to me and actually have a chance in tournament.

I mean, I may not like this game as much as I want to. But if there's something that I can always sit down and appreciate when talking about Injustice, it's the balance. And this is what NRS got right going forward from MK9. No other fighting game created by NRS can awe you with such stimulation on balance discussion like Injustice. It's something that will always put a smile on my face and make me go "Man, they definitely did a phenomenal job here." when looking at the character select screen.

I pretty much Agree with this. In MK9 a lot of characters didn't stand a chance, literally against the top characters (Jade vs Kenshi 9-1 MU for example) in Injustice a lot of characters have better possibilities, i have seen good Jokers defeating good Supermans, i have seen good Shazams defeating good Black Adams, the top characters have a lot of even match ups and i have barely seen an 8-2 Match Up in this game.

Certain match-ups are a pain in the ass (Batgirl vs Aquaman) but for the most part the roster is pretty balanced after the patch. I have no idea who the worst character is now, and whoever he or she is they'll still be good.

Not like he is IMO. He's sub par offline but drastically improves (though never reaching anything OP) once you add input latency. He's just badly made.

Superman nerfs made him much more manageable to fight against, he isnt bottom tier but he doesnt dominate almost everyone like he previously did.

In MK9, EVERYONE lost to Kabal. Then 90% of the cast lost to kenshi, 80% lost to cyrax, 70% lost to Sonya, and 60% lost Freddy. The top 5 In that game made the rest of the cast look like jokes.


IGAU is different. I can't even think of the best character in this game, no character In the game completely bops everyone, nearly everyone can compete with a character, etc.

Its a pretty big difference.

I completely agree. Even outside of NRS games, this is one of, if not THE most balanced fighting game I have played to date.

Also shit matchups will always exist if you want a varied and unique cast. That said, they are fairly well balanced in this game (No character has too many shit matchups. Having 1-4 counters in a cast of 30-ish is not really a balance problem, especially if you hard counter other characters.).

I already thought this game was ridiculously balanced before the patch compared to others, but after the latest patch it has become even more true. There is now a reason to play every character; even Joker/Lobo/Shazam/Ares! All in all I couldn't be happier when it comes to balance at this point. Maybe later we'll find something new that breaks that, but for now: Good shit NRS!

Lobo, Lex, Green Arrow and Ares did get REALLY good buffs, but still can't hold a candle to Superman, and probably barely compete with BA, KF, batman and Aquaman

people are highly overrating how much changed in this patch, aside from the mentioned characters, noone got tools to help with their faults, and the top tier remain virtually the same

i would agree Injustice is more balanced. But they both have dominating top tiers and a single character that dominates basically everyone

damage isn't everything, and aside from a few characters that had no options against F23 its meta-game is virtually the same
