VER 1.06: Who will you be picking up or playing more?

Im not talking "who will be your new replacement main?" because that implies folks should change their main or something stupid. I want to know who will you pickup or dedicate your time to now that you know what is going on in the Ver !1.o6 patch.

I'm still putting in the time on Green Arrow, Hawkgirl, and Bane, but I'd really like to take a second look at Shazam and see if he's gotten fun with this update. If he has I may toss a character for awhile and play around more with him and see how it goes.

Chongo

Dead Kings Rise
I've been playing Arrow as a secondary for a while now, but the new changes make me wet.

Yeah, I was damned happy about the crouching and I'm eager to count me some block advantage frames from Yolo slide once this drops. Cannot wait to slide up low, MB high and then make them guess my followup.

I've been wanting to play Batgirl for like two weeks, but I didn't want to buy her that close to the patch with the chance that she might get the Scorpion treatment. I've played as Scorp since his release, so I think I can tierwhore a bit now.

MajinRY

PSN: MajinRY
I've been using shazam a lot more lately, I mained aquaman since day 1 and was getting abit bored. I've toyed about with a few characters as a secondary but I'm gonna be maining shazam and playing aqua as secondary

SZSR

Champion
I'll be playing MMH, I really wanted him in the game but never really gave him a second glance so I might secondary him, casually of course.

ApocaLips

Kombatant
If you're truly playing to win, there's absolutely nothing wrong with figuring out the new landscape of the game, deciding your current character doesn't give you the best chance to win anymore, and switching. In fact, you're NOT playing to win if you refuse to make such an evaluation, at least in the long term.

What you want to avoid is a knee-jerk hissy fit if your character is still in good shape and would likely continue to give you the best chance to win.

I play KF, who's only getting better after the patch, and I'm excited to play her in this new environment. But I'm also taking a second look at Batgirl, and I hope Scorpion becomes playable again.

I've also always had a casual interest in Lex - his moveset is just really cool IMO. I dont know whether the buffs do a whole lot for him, but we'll see.

Espio

Kokomo
Not much is changing for me personally.

I'm still keeping up with Hawkgirl, Raven, Cyborg, and MMH, but I finally want to play someone different so either Bane or Grundy (both of who I've played on and off before).

Konqrr

MK11 Kabal = MK9 Kitana
I think I'll be putting some time into Killer Frost since she got HELLA buffed ^_^

Duck Nation

Dicks with a future
I've been thinking about picking up Deathstroke for a while now.

But Duck Nation keeps making me not want to. So I dunno.
Sorry. I know I'm upsetting a lot of people, too, but I just can't recommend it at this juncture. He's definitely going to have a lot of matchups that are considerably less fun after the patch, even putting aside discussions of his viability altogether.

Per the topic of this thread: Looks like GA is going to be a popular choice post patch. He was the first character I used and I think I may go back to him. Going to see how MMH pans out first, even if he's kind of a "safe" choice having been barely altered.

Well, I usually like or agree with most of your posts, so I definitely take your advice to heart when you respond.

I'll probably just put some more effort into learning Hawkgirl for now.

Yeah day 1 I'm mainly going to be putting Green Arrow back in the lab and testing him online to see if the "no need to return to neutral" lets me under IGAU online finally do some of his stuff easier without getting incorrect inputs during latency. I doubt it'll fix all my online gripes, but its should help a lot at least. In addition to GA on day 1 I can see that I'm gonna try out some Shazam. Really wanting to see what I can come up with using his combo and grab changes. Hoping he clicks this time around.

I already feel cozy with Bane and Hawkgirl even though I know I can improve so I'd like to float the cast again and see how they all feel for a second time.
