Staff spin fix is amazing.The staff spin buff is amazing. No longer have to cower in fear of Grundy. Can lock down Catwoman and others now too.

I'm not sure Ares buffs will help much in this particular match up either. I suspect this will be Ares worst match up now.yeah he kinda did. I'm still wondering to see how Ares' buffs will change this MU because I always thought it was an odd MU.

This pretty much sums it up. Some characters can duck mb staff spin, and some can avoid being crossed up by flip kick, but Grundy doesn't give a fuck about either.I'm not kidding when I'm saying that Grundy probably has the best hitbox in the game.
When he is standing the Flipkick does not cross-up and when he is crouching the Staff Spin MB(on which Staff pretty much relies on) whiffed and was full combo punishable.
Now with the patch we can use Staff against Grundy a little bit more.
Usually when staff spin get push blocked it's before the MB version. So even if your opponent pushblocked you get some meter and chip as well.MB Staff gets repeated pushblocked anyway. It's good to be consistent, yeah, but it's not what Dick really needs most.

Uh....preaching to the choir, I guess? It's a nice buff, but it FAR from addresses Dick's biggest flaws, which are movement speed and speed of his normals. Save Grundy against and maybe Diana, we didn't really need MB staff spin.Having mb staff spin not be available completely changes how safely NW can pressure, build meter, and chip opponents. Even with the meter gain nerf, NW needs staff spin to avoid having unsafe stance cancels from escrima. Plus, I can't even complain if somebody spends a bar push blocking staff spin. It leaves NW in a decent spot in most matchups anyway.
Thought i was the only one who felt that way but hey not complaining. i was more hoping for scatterbomb startup buff but i am satisfied w the changes.I thought it was fair and a unique mechanic that certain characters ducked staff spin?
I guess the opinions of 1 person can't be held to an entire community/team of people.
