Alright so Pig of the Hut is doing his Kryptonite Academy for every character and such and wants the top 3 players for each character to help out.

So which ones of us should be doing this?

Every Dick should be on that.
Should the best Dicks out there be on that or the Dicks that brought the most tech and have the most experience with him?

This isn't a Dick measuring contest. This isn't really about who is "the best." This is about the most knowledgable players stepping forward to represent the character community and what we are all capable of.

These three guys have put more time in the lab than anyone in our community. They have given a lot of us our BnBs and setups.

That's not to say the Kryptonite Academy is their baby. The community should come together and come up with a comprehensive guide. Teaching Nightwing in stages of crawl, walk, run. It will be up to these three dudes to communicate to the rest of the community and be ready to articulate where they might not have prepared.

That said. Following the Kryptonite Academy I'd like our community to revisit our MU thread. The next EVO season will be quickly coming upon us. We've all got something to share with regards to MUs and that thread is waaaay too quiet.

I've actually been doing that ever since Sajam posted the video on it. Thank you for the advice though! The twitch archive DickStick posted had a Nightwing that would b2, b2 so it raised the question for me.

Agree with pretty much everything I see here. Not a lot of Dick players are talking about stuff, asking questions, and actively trying to break this character in the best possible way. I spend my time trying to find more setups/great situations to put NW in. I'll spend a bit more time doing write ups and videos on matchups instead.

I'd also love to help out with the Kryptonite Academy. I'm doing my best to put Dick players on the map, and hopefully it's not for nothing!

Is there any way to determine what side you'll end up on after a MB Flip Kick? Is it just spacing? I find this move incredibly good to catch someone off guard with but I sometimes get a Fury, sometimes get a Spark afterward. Naturally I'd prefer the former.

I got called a braindead Nightwing player because I beat a backwards walking laser spamming Superman 3 times who had 15 wins in a KOTH against a guy who wasn't playing (free W's) and a level 30 player. </3

He claimed that he just doesn't uses laser, but a marvelous F23 X 3 6 hit combination that whiffs 80% of the time.
He was confused why he couldn't wake up attack, NJ2 into 35% combo <3
Yea, Nightwing is a savage in the corner.
I told him to stay positive and affirmed that Superman is a better fighter when he comes forward instead of backing up to create room for laser spam.
Superman gets bodied with the staff.

Is it possible that Ground Pound MB breaks armor?
Because one of the first things I figured out in the Bane MU is that if you do Ground Pound MB the same time he inputs Charge you'll end up punishing it. If he does it full screen he'll be right in that B3 range.
This even works when he is in lvl 3 in which he has 2 hits of armor instead of 1, didn't think much of it till now.

I noticed the same thing about Grundy Walking Corpse and Bane charge.

I'm not one to question free damage though, so I'm not complaining.

I have had this happen as well....unfortunately it's not reliable, it's more of those, if you do it at the exact perfect time it will beat the armor, but if you're late, you will get corpsed. Something to explore tho.

Been feeling that for a week or so, that's why I've been exploring Escrima more because it will be more useful.
If you fight against someone who knows NW and his pressure he'll block or backdash almost everything in Staff.

I think Sajam feels the same way, we were kind of talking about it in the stream chat.

Staff is useful for zoning, range and chipping out.

It was awesome talking to you guys on stream to tonight. It was almost like you bros were right there with me.

Over the next couple days I'm going to pull the footage from the stream, chop it up into segments and work on breaking down the matchups.

18 hours of Injustice today, we only started streaming just before Reno showed up. The next six weeks will be just one big level up session.

Do you guys feel that Nightwing will only get better from this point in the game? Or do you think he'll become less viable when more people figure him out? I've been wanting to main him but I'm kind of leaning more towards Flash now as he seems like a better overall rushdown character.

It could be a bit of both depending on the next patch. If there are no significant changes with Dick, but with others...we'll just have to experiment for months to see how that affects these matchups. I invite it because it can only make us NW mains better players and invite new strategies we haven't implemented before.

Flash is intense, I feel he's a top 5-10 character in the game if you know his game.

But I also feel NW is a top 10 player in the game so you can go with either or.

Depends on what you want to do. Flash is probably a better rushdown character, because well, he's Flash. But Nightwing's versatility + rushdown is what makes him so good.

I guess you can think of him as a Jack of all trades-type character? Idk, I just know it's really easy to change up what I'm doing when certain situations/matchups/stages/etc. call for it.
