Not for kano, his changes were made in a hotfix so they can easily change his shit, but cyrax and smoke need an actual title update to fix, not sure about noob.wow, this thread means, if got the 3rd costume 4 kano, he have still the broken upball?? <3 <3 <3

yeah that was only a joke^^Not for kano, his changes were made in a hotfix so they can easily change his shit, but cyrax and smoke need an actual title update to fix, not sure about noob.
This is exactly why this should not happen. The characters were fixed before because they were broken. The less of this broken stuff left in the game, the better.I like this idea, like the OP said, just have the option to ban the 3rd skins in tournaments.
I'd use them as counterpicks. XD
Your idea would make 80% of people drop the game altogether, would hurt the general community and in the end make MK9 just die quicker and lose even more credibility as a serious competitive fighter.news flash:
if getting OTG smoke bombed by randoms online would persuade you to drop/get rid of the game, well there is a 99.9% chance that you won't be missed in the competitive scene.
how does banning an alt skin = smash bros? rofl
what in the hell does a secondary version of a character have to do with painting a car? worst analogy ever.
waking up to these ridiculous responses has been the best gift i've gotten from the internet in a long time. on a more serious note, if you don't have reasonable input or the ability to put an opposing argument into a coherent post, please just refrain from posting in here.
I don't think it was a bad analogy. It was about the only thing that makes sense in this thread. Alternate costumes are purely aesthetic. Like he said, painting the same car(character) a different color(costume) doesn't(or rather shouldn't) change what's under the hood.what in the hell does a secondary version of a character have to do with painting a car? worst analogy ever.
Do you really think the vast majority of people online are going to stop using their broken costumes because I ask them nicely? Once the word gets around, you're going to have a lot of people using the old Cyrax bomb trap online since online is the only option for a lot of people.BlazBlue has intentionally broken versions of every char in the game...how is that game broken because of it? Its an intentionally "broken" feature to have fun with and experiment to see the potential of chars. Its not an embedded brokenness that makes the game overall unplayable.
Obviously if you wanna play more "seriously" whether on a night of online or a big tournament, you dont play them. And, if sum1 keeps picking them when playing online, you simply stop playing them or request they stop picking those versions.
Not difficult ppl. It reminds of ppl who actually think games are easier nowadays becuase you can CHOOSE to make it easier or harder on yourself.
RamenO explained it for you.news flash:

It doesnt seem to be a problem for BlazBlue. Like I said if they decline your request just stop playing that person. I played sum1 in BlazBlue once, he picked unlimited Ragna. I ttook the loss and "no unlimiteds plz". I played him again, I picked Normal Ragna he picked unlimited again and I disc;d, then the host kicked him out. Not hard at all.Do you really think the vast majority of people online are going to stop using their broken costumes because I ask them nicely? well at least there are some decent counterpoints here...finally. why would 80% of players drop the game? lol. did including original versions of characters or akuma in super turbo kill the game? did tossing broken ass boss characters in tekken 5 kill the game? did U. rugal and shin akuma kill CvS? did overpowered alts in BB kill the game? nope, all that any of these things did was add replay value. even serious players get bored and want LOL broken things to mess around with at the end of the day. i've been nothing but reasonable here. if i wanted to be a dick i'd say something like, "i bet 9/10 of the people posting in this thread and playing online wouldn't even notice" and i would be right.Your idea would make 80% of people drop the game altogether, would hurt the general community and in the end make MK9 just die quicker and lose even more credibility as a serious competitive fighter.
It wouldn't add any replay value whatsoever. It would just add a bunch of useless and retarded matchups/gimmicks that don't even matter in the end because they're banned from tourneys.
So who would benefit from this? Just scrubs with no skill and no one else. No serious player would waste time trying out an old version of Kitana, Kung Lao or Cyrax that's not even permitted in any tournaments.
Now stop being a dick and just accept the fact that your idea sucks.
This. I try to stick to players who I see on here, who I had good lagless games with then added...etc.to which my response is this;
A: stop playing randoms over and over online, especially the ones who use 'mock' characters, since it is such serious business. play with your friends. test things out waste time. muck around and have a good time. troll noobs. that is what online is for; not getting mad about losing to people you don't even know in the lag or tarnishing a meaningless record that either says "i only play scrubs" or "i actually think this makes me good".
B: stop pretending that a different skin is gonna make you not go 0-2 in a tournament.
and bam. problem solved. why can't the rest of us have something more that is interesting and fun to play around with...especially when it is already there? why is it a bad thing to request that we get to keep them in addition to the 'fixed' versions?
you act as if you paid for an online pass for the sole purpose of beating on casual scrubs online, or as if the game forces you to play random opponents online, meaning you solely play ranked lag matches. if either of these things are true, then your concerns are legitimate and unfortunately leaving them in the game will probably ruin your experience. i don't see how that could be a good experience in the first place, though, so the argument is kind of moot.Do you really think the vast majority of people online are going to stop using their broken costumes because I ask them nicely? Once the word gets around, you're going to have a lot of people using the old Cyrax bomb trap online since online is the only option for a lot of people.
That's absolutely wonderful because now lots of us have to deal with that just for somebody to have fun with their broken costume. It's so braindead.
I will reiterate, I, and a lot of others, pay to play online, and we also paid for the DLC. We shouldn't be punished for this by being the lab rats for stuff that was already deemed broken. How does it make any sense for that to be the case?
This makes absolutely no sense. The current characters we have(i.e. the patched versions) are the direct result of what needed to be buffed/nerfed based on the bugged alternate costumed variants we have now. There is essentially no reason to have those different versions using your "investigate" logic, because we already figured out what was over the top. If you really wanted to figure out what works and doesn't work, use the current ones. For example, lets say 1st cyrax cant teleport like human cyrax, but has more net recovery, and things like that. This way we can see with a longer period of time what works and what doesnt for each char, what needs buffing and what needs nerfing, cause now we would have two intentionally unbroken versions of chars to investigate and analyze, and one intentionally broken vesrion to see the positive/negative potential of that chars general style of play.
Exactly, that kind of variable bullshit shouldn't be tolerated in MK. Costumes are there to make looking at a character less boring, changing up the entire game just to have "teh lulz" is idiotic. Although balance has become a joke to many top competitors, why not keep it the same as before when everything was as close to normal as could be?Since the UMK3 skin for Cyrax came out I've already played THOUSANDS of people using the costume because of the bomb trap. I don't want to play Thousands of people using MK2 Smoke because he has an OTG smoke bomb. This thread and this idea is stupid. Its bad enough we have to deal with the horrible online now we have to deal with characters with different properties for each costume. Its ridiculous. I shouldn't have to be punished or rewarded just because I used a different costume from somebody else. There is no reason to have 3 different Cyrax's, 2 different Noobs, and 2 different smokes in a tier list. This was just lazy and unprofessional on NRS part and now you're asking them not to fix their mistakes?
Jesus christ quit acting like everyone sucks ass at tournaments and online play is garbage. Its obvious that you want these bugs/glitches left in the game for your own personal gain.A: stop playing randoms over and over online, especially the ones who use 'mock' characters, since it is such serious business. play with your friends.
B: stop pretending that a different skin is gonna make you not go 0-2 in a tournament.
