Man, I've kept my mouth shut since the game dropped but I'm getting really tired of seeing people blow the game up for being scrubby because they aren't performing as well as they expected to.

I've said I like the game but it has a lot of issues

U would know this if you didn't assume shit based on TYM posts

Backdashing is only useful to escape pressure; it doesn't give you defense to advance. Push blocking is another tool that is used against an immediate attack, and doesn't help you play defense, while still advancing. Clash happens once. And, Meter burn moves are not useful tools vs someone chucking stuff at you from far away.

I'm strictly referencing defensive moves, like parry(not the MK version that parries and attacks), trading projectiles, and focus attack(don't want in MK). 2d NRS games (MK and Injustice) lack advancing defensive tools. I don't mean that you can't protect yourself, somewhat, when people get in on you. I'm talking about defensive tools that allow you to protect yourself, without taking damage, and which allow you to gain space. If you were given a choice of throwing a projectile that could nullify lasers, or iagb, or Kenshi charge, who wouldn't want to be able to do that sometimes?
I am honestly not sure what you are talking about. Push block is an example of a defensive tool that creates space. The defensive tools in this game are fine as they are.

NRS fighting games do not have projectile trades. Instead, they have teleports, teleport punches, and projectile parries, which is another form of anti-zoning.

Just got internet 3 days ago so. Yeah just got the patch updates......just started playing REAL players online rather then bots. I know 0 matchups. You're gonna body the shit out of me. But it will be fun. I main Harley Quinn and only her.....so you could pick a 10-0 match up and I'll still play as her....I'm hard headed.

Yeah I agree. When people cry about this game, I know more than half of them wouldnt if everyone stayed below their level, but instead of just giving people credit where they deserve it, they just say the game is stupid.

I did not watch the entire thing, because...4 hours, but you are not complaining about the game, you guys are giving the respect where it is deserved, and how long is a china man.

Injustice: GAU has a plethora of defensive tools (i.e., invincible back dash, push block, MB b+3, and clash).

The issue is that NRS has been trying to please the casual audience by creating a simple fighting game, which is the root of all problems (i.e., lack of depth, imbalance, buffs, nerfs, etc.).
That makes no sense at all. Virtua Fighter is probably the simplest game to get into in fighting games...yet its depth, yomi, and time to master are well known in gaming. Imbalance exists in Injustice because it is a fighting game. All fighting games have balancing issues (albeit, to different degrees). The game is still new. Balancing is being addressed. Blaming the "casual audience" for the game being imbalanced is not only elitist and dishonest, it is also hypocritical considering many in the "hardcore/professional audience" not only can not agree on changes, but also cry/whine about their individual characters who aren't even weak at all. Or, they lose and all the sudden "don't care about the game"...

This is such bullshit. 16 Bit, who by his lofty standards, has had disappointing placements in Injustice so far (not blowing him up by any means), has probably never said a single bad thing about the game. Meanwhile, REO, Jr. and others who have done well have criticized it. This nonsense that if you have a problem with this game, it means you're no good at it has to stop. It would be one thing if people are saying "scrubby" and leaving it at that (which is a word I believe has not been mentioned a single time on the podcast), but when they actually provide constructive analysis, at least they have a basis for criticism, whether you agree with it or not.

The funniest part is that by your own admission, "you don't have the time or patience" to listen to this podcast, yet that didn't stop you from making an assumption, coming up with a narrative, and running with it. But you're right, when have you been wrong about anything?
