I have been saying that Kabal should be banned for a very long time now. Kabal has no losing match-ups, and no even match-ups. That means as long as you play Kabal you are literally at an advantage every single match you play in tournament, for the exception of playing another Kabal. How is that even fair? lol

With Kabal being banned, the top tier Sonya Kenshi Cyrax Lao will still have difficult match-ups.

Without Kabal Cyrax will probably become the #1 character in the game with no losing match-ups, but at least he has alot of 5-5's.
Sonya still loses to Freddy and Kenshi 3-7 and she goes 5-5 with like five different characters.
Kenshi still loses to Kung Lao 4-6 and goes 5-5 with like five different characters.
Kung Lao still loses to Kitana Cage and Cyrax 4-6 and goes 5-5 with like five different characters.

With Kabal banned, every single character in the game has at least five or more 5-5 match-ups and every character in the game has at least one losing match-up except for Cyrax. I say ban Kabal, it will make this game soooooo much better

If Kabal was banned Cyrax would be the number 1 character in the game. Once Kabal is taken out of the picture Cyrax has no losing match-ups whatsoever. But he does however have like seven or eight 5-5 match-ups, so he is still fair

Are you joking right now or are you being serious? Kung Lao loses to Cage 4-6, loses to Kitana 4-6, and loses to Cyrax 4-6. Than Kung Lao goes 5-5 with Sektor, 5-5 with Sonya, 5-5 with Skarlet, and 5-5 with Ermac. There are plenty of characters that can handle Kung Lao

There's a second tier in mk that would still dominate. After Kabal it becomes a game of Cyrax, Kenshi, Sonya, Lao, and Cage.

If you remove all the above characters, Kitana and Smoke are probably at the top, but the overall balance is actually pretty fucking good from there out. I'd support a trial tournament with the 6 characters locked.

I used to think that one day. Until I found out that Cyrax can play super patient like how DJT does against Kabal, and Kitana IAF or nothing really compared to Kabal IAGB lol. And Cyrax can do 100% off of one bar of meter, 60% unbreakable combos with 3 bars of meter.... I think she is one of the characters that 5-5 against him haha

NO, not even close. Kabal has 0 losing match-ups, and 0 even match-ups. The closest thing you can have to advantage to Kabal is only a 4-6, there are only like four characters in the game that actually go 4-6 against Kabal. Kabal beats every other character in the game besides those four characters 7-3 or worse.

Now let's compare Kenshi to that. After Kabal gets banned, Kenshi will still lose to Kung Lao 4-6, Kenshi will go 5-5 with Smoke, Freddy, Scorpion, Noob, Cyrax, Reptile, and others I can't think of off the top of my head. Than there are probably like four or five characters that only lose to Kenshi 4-6.

Does Kenshi sound anything like Kabal to you now? Didn't think so

Eh.. I think Kabal should be nerfed, but not banned. I doubt that will happen. I feel that banning a character so late in the game will detract people from wanting to play the game in general.

I'd prefer a patch, but I'm against banning Kabal. Unfortunately, I think the best option is to leave things as-is.

If DJT's Cyrax beat Kabal through patience and D4 frame trap, I don't see why other characters can't do the same. (I'm NOT saying it's easy to emulate DJT at all, but I feel like I learned a lot about defeating Kabal from watching him.)

After playing blind man I don't think Kenshi loses to Kung Lao. Not when Kenshi has so many ways to stuff KL's teleport and don't give me that high hitbox shit. its 5-5. If Kabal were ever banned (Which he won't be), Kenshi would become king of the game. Especially when more people start playing him. and cyrax lol... its funny how people would consider banning Kabal instead of Cyrax right after Cyrax won EVO. especially Perfect Legend

It seems that Kabal's obvious disadvantage is if you approach him slowly. He's always putting himself in a corner with air gas blasts. He's obviously a hell of a difficult character, but proven beatable in a major tournament.

Technically P1 Kabal beats P2 Kabal. He still has a winning matchup in the mirror match.

I say we should perform a lil experiment Perfect Legend. What we should do is have a mock tournament with several good players, who use multiple characters and ban Kabal for that. Then run the same tourney allowing Kabal to be used. When I say tourney I do not actually mean an official tourney. This could help to see if this would affect the game in a positive or negative way.

It would seem that Kabal is the bigger issue altogether in the game. From what I have seen it is an issue. the EVO stream was littered with Kaballers and very few other characters I saw were even able to compete with him. Kenshi plays a nasty zoning game, but many of the characters are able to deal with it. Such as Mileena, zoning her isn't a great idea with a teleport attack as well as how many others in the game are able to teleport.
