Soooo MMH is another teleporter.... one of my favorite things initially about Injustice was the lower number of TP, and yet now boom half the DLC have teleports.

Along with what looks like a solid zoning game (although they seem to have focused on string sin the video more so then specials), he will shit bricks on us.... sigh...
Or not, we don't know anything for sure yet. I'm more scared about the extra long limb that might snipe hg out of the sky.

Been in the lab some more and Jesus why aren't people playing Hawkgirl? Even on block her stuff is usually only -2 frames on block at most. For some folks thats still pretty garbage to deal with if you follow up with something like D1 thats super fast. Her pressure is just sick and once you get the rhythm down for her full screen zoning from the air you can safely shut down some stuff since you can cancel the fall into flight and then dealers choice into whatever you want including throw a mace forward and then MB to dive mace into any grounded opponent. Her wakeup wing evade is sick and she has these crazy go behind setups off that move as well off of certain reads.

Her only issues for me are things like air control zoning like Zod and his trait because you have to thread the needle and stuff like GL Yolo grabs and his projectiles combining to make you a mess in the air and unaffective at dash ups on the ground. Thank god for wing evade 3.

Im seriously wondering why she is so slept on. Is it just that brain dead Superman/ Black Adam damage up close coupled with their full screen game is too sexy to bother learning a pressure character? Her mid screen is good enough, but geez this corner damage she gets. Especially since everything she does can push to the corner since you end in mace charge so often.

I know I'm becoming a broken record but this is just so easy a character to start doing stuff with that I'm shocked no one has been yet.

PS- I'm not to worried about MMH's port. His stretchy limbs will need some study though...he may win in trades and he can out poke.

I wouldn't recommend WE~3 as a wake up if you watch your opponent coming to you, it can be great if used well, but it's the same that with Mace Charge, Mace Charge can be a great wake up but almost every j3 can punish it while it's starting so once people figures it out we can't wake up happy, the same with WE~3

Also the corner feels rough vs Flash for me. I was labbing that since i got pinned bad locally vs Flash, but when I got my poke I fought out big time and went to the other corner. Is D1 really our best or is there a better option than that in the corner?

Ohh sorry i read WE~3 and yes, the opponent can also jump and punish WE~2 but it's also good against the opponents that get close but doesn't jump, you must test your opponent first, and naw, her Mace Charge on block is safe! And you can punish MBs Meter burning the mace charge, this will cross up your opponent, then press trait and hit your opponent with her flight normals.

D1 is always a good option! But what i meant saying that we have problems getting out of the corner is that we can't wake up, we can't do nothing, a smart player will always jump in against Hawkgirl in the corner since if she uses mace charge his jump 3,2,1 etc will hit us and if we don't do nothing he can pressure us, the only way we can get out is searching an opportunity to use D1 then WE3 or WE2

Well, I finally found a use for that worthless WE1.

Vs Doomsday

After knocking him down, you do that 3~WE tech that makes the opponents wakeup move go through your WE. With good timing, all of DD's wakeup specials phase through it and you can do WE2.

Except for his Stupernova because that dumbass move leaps him of fthe screen.

Well, all you have to do is wait a sec to confirm that DD's wakeup phased through you and confirm which attack you should use.
Wakeup Venom - Use WE2
Wakeup Upward Venom - Use WE2
Wakeup Stupernova - Use WE1 and it'll hit his ass coming down.

Use can't combo off it or anything that I've seen (adding more to its worthlessness)

But hey.... I found a use!
Lol...god WE1...i constantly forget that she has it. It does 13%...but yeah...it's tragic.

People laugh at me when I warn them about how good she is...it actually shocks me.

The main reason people dont worry about HG is coz they can just go to Deathstroke if theyre losing and give you a really hard time no matter how bad their DS is >___>;

There's also the fact that there's like.. 20 HG players overall lol. She's very rare.

And from that 20 only a few are good, some of them just fly so happy and think they got a great Hawkgirl lol

I tend to keep flying just for after air MT, people that like to throw shit at ground level and any time I want to really piss off a Grundy, since all he can do is hope you get close enough to D2. Since I play exclusively online, due to no real tourney scene where I am, it's hard to pull off a lot of her flight combos, so I keep it for the YOO HOO factor.

shoutouts to Husky Brown for beating the EVO champion with Hawkgirl, not even a fully advance Hawkgirl. Base Hawkgirl > Superman lol. Now if he beats kdz on the run back then he deserves mad props b/c KDZ tends to adapt well

Playing advanced dilutes her power. Play without a brain like f23man and the wins rack up.
 
The great KDZ was bodied by a Hawkgirl that mostly plays online... And people will still try to find a reason to say she's not good.
It was nice to see something like this. She might get recognition.

I tend to keep flying just for after air MT, people that like to throw shit at ground level and any time I want to really piss off a Grundy, since all he can do is hope you get close enough to D2. Since I play exclusively online, due to no real tourney scene where I am, it's hard to pull off a lot of her flight combos, so I keep it for the YOO HOO factor.
Yes, flight after MT is very very helpfull, also i meant that ones that really flig all day without doing anything else in the ground

Exactly Hawkgirl can make any of her actual even matches on her favor just flying all day, and doing lame stuff... But i like challenges and make the things hype

I do want to see this Hawkgirl player in action though now, I'm curious to see how they took down KDZ and hope to see a runback since I missed the first encounter.

Blocked f23 all day, punishing with d1 and reverse MC. Air maces both directions, scattered meterburns. In footsie range nothing but WE3, MC, D1, and a rare throw. Took it easily.

He pretty much poke the hell out of him with d1~Mace Charge and a few mace throws & WE3. KDZ looked like he didn't know the match up.

It's pretty cool that Hawkgirl is pretty much always safe with tactics like this. You only really get punished if you whiff.

Was his Hawkgirl good? I am also curious! I'm not that impressed atm since we know that zhawkgirl can take him down... But he is KDZ so i hope the guy was good! <3
