You left the KOTH lobby before I could play you. </3 Us Adams need to stick together. Even if I have gone my separate way as a Doomsday now.if anyone wants BA matchup experience add me on xbl
It is in very specific situations. It's amazing for dealing with air projectiles, at a high level very few people will try to use air projectiles against a doomsday. If you're getting zoned heavily you can time a MB supernova so that it is almost impossible for the opponent to do anything about it. It's also a pretty decent wake up against certain pressure. An example being joker teeth mix ups. But other than that I'd try to stay away from using Supernova too heavily. It's strength comes when it's least expected. If you're looking for a get-in move you're better off just traiting and trying to dash your way in. MB venom is also a good option against single hit projectiles. If you are going to just yolo a supernova at a high level, you should at least trait before you do to negate any punish your opponent might try.So I have a question for the high-level players: Is supernova obsolete in high level play? I ask because 99% of the people I've played are free to that and d1xxearthshake. I know close up you can create a mixup with the threat of delayed timing mb, and I've seen people do regular supernova full screen just to bait the opponent to waste a bar, but is this the extent of it?
I'm not sure if it's actually +25 or not. It doesn't seem like it is. But it is one of the best air to air moves in the game. I would use it more for that than trying to jump in with it. Splash is amazing.Makes sense. I have been using it more and more as a wakeup option. I'm definitely saving that little tidbit for all future Joker matchups.
Okay, and for the record.... j2 is NOT +25 on block right?
MB Venom is +3.MB Venom is the superior move compared to MB supernova. +6 on block, and pushes to the corner. if you need to get in, you should be spending meter on that. MB Supernova has it's place but it's situational and should be used sparingly. Multi-hitting projectiles, thrown interactables, or air projectiles are good times to use it.
If the untechable is all you want this is a better option. I'm pretty sure j3 d3 would work as well for more damage, but I'm not 100%. I would only do b3 f3 for unclashables. Otherwise why even spend the bar in the first place? What about ending in j2 d3? Or f3 still better?
The + frames don't matter since the only time you'll actually use the f3 or d3 is when you hit the combo. I personally don't even think wasting a bar on mb earth shaker is worth it since there is really no way to hit confirm into it. But to each their own.I've never done the combo, but I am assuming the bounce from f3 has insane +frames on hit rather than d3 with no bounce
Shout outs to that Urien reference. Made my day.I use MB ES for full corner combos other than that its EX Chariot Tackle all day
Not worth it imo. It trades most of the time, or just gets flat out beat. Just stick with his AA grab. It has a way better hit box and sets up a nice safe jump/meaty.After the universal patch Doomsday's D2 seems really good. Unfortunately I can't test it with the AI because I only have 1 controller at home (i failt) and I can't record it, but I'm courious if it works against good jumpins such as Aquamans and Batmans.
Is it reliable to use against those? Or should I just stick with air venom and j2?
I dunno, it has a hitbox behind it now. Seems useful. Not worth it imo. It trades most of the time, or just gets flat out beat. Just stick with his AA grab. It has a way better hit box and sets up a nice safe jump/meaty.
PL, Noobe, DJT, and Glass Sword. Not many of us tournament Doomsdays though. I play at WNF every week. But Injustice isn't always streamed.Doomsday has sparked my interest recently and I'd like to try the big man out. I got down his combos (lol the only ones he has are mb df 2)
and I've got down pressuring with him but still learning oki.
Who are some good DD's to watch that played at EVO, CEO, more recent tournies really? I think I remember DJT used him as a desperation move but I'm looking for more than 1 round.
Thanks in advance.
