I was in a party with some of my friends during KOTH yesterday and we were discussing the new patch. I told them that I was interested in KF, to which they said she took no skill and was OP despite the nerfs
Your friends are scrubs, don't listen to them. "Skill" is a meaningless word that people throw out when they're upset they lost. If you're playing to win, pick the character you think gives you the best chance to win. If you're playing for fun, pick the character you enjoy playing. Having a lower learning curve hasn't stopped most pros - look at third strike chun. If you're playing just to screw around with friends, I recommend a different game.

KF's learning curve just went up a bit after the patch because her decent-damaging combos now require better execution. Her basics are easy to understand, but she's tough to use at a high level when people adapt to her obvious strengths. At that point, the best KFs are the ones that work around her weaknesses the best.

Killer Frost always looked pretty sweet (except for that smoker's laugh), which makes me wonder why more people don't play her on the 360. Thanks for the responses everyone, Frost seems like she might be my kind of gal alongside Hawkgirl.

I agree to an extent about people bandying "skill" when they get upset about losing. I get hate mail all the time saying that Hawkgirl and Lex take no skill. To me, skill is about a player's ability to use a character. Common spam characters like Deathstroke can be played in a dynamic and effective manner or spammed.

Oh nice, def a good idea to pick up killer frost to cover some of hawkgirl's bad matchups.
 
Need help really badly, my training partner is a black adam player and bodies me every single time. I'm pretty sure that the KF BA matchup is terrible for her. Somebody tell me how to approach this MU. ps-( we're not idiots so random slides aren't the answer)
1. His projectile pressure does too much chip so I find that I have to go in, especially when he is in the lead and doesn't mind chipping me. Black magic is also a pain in the ass because it shuts down my slide.
2. When I do go in, I can't air dash due to his food dive or any of his AA which lead into full combo.
3. When I am up close, I try to lay the pressure on hard, but he has a pretty good d2 and if he blocks, I have to retreat (usually 1 back dash away and try to read what he will do next which I'm starting to think is a bad idea.

Somebody plz help me against the cheap ass character

maybe im hitting it too late, but im hitting it as soon as i can. the online lag makes it come out too late. it hits maybe 1 in 10 times. guess the timing is much more strict online?

The KF reset I've been talking about earlier is
post freeze. 2+3 (switch stance) f113. After that opponent is in range for mixup and both options cannot be interrupted, armored, supered or backdashed from.

You can end your corner combos with j2,f113 , since there is no pushback at all.
In the corner, if you want the most damaging combo, end it with j2,f113~slide,2~spike.
If you MB spike here you can get guaranteed interactibles in some corners such as atlantis for ex.

J2 2 should always be used. J2 f113 should be used in the corner

What is whack about it? Its the most damaging ender and it guarantees a mixup.
Why would you switch stance? That doesnt do a damn thing lol.

Midscreen, always end combos with nj2 2. F113 pushes them too far, but its really good in the corner, hence why its the corner ender. Nothing else should be used, especially a stance switch.

Has anybody discovered any new tech with kf recently? Thread has been pretty quiet. Besides, meterless vortex, 50/50 reset, TA combos, Transition combos. Calling out Konqrrr, 16-bit, P rog, or any good frosts

Now, is this dependent on what the stance situation is to begin with? Like, is the push back different when they are in the same stance or in a different stance? Or is it soley because you switch stances no matter what that this glitch happens?

Only thing I have been messing with is f23 on u3 hard knock downs to stuff wake ups.(free 12% into another hard knock down) But I have not completed testing so I do not have a fully compiled list.

I loooove F23...one of my fav. moves in the whole game. It's so slooow my god...she needs buffs like no other ;)

apparently not as I've tried shifting to another stance pre-combo. (her MB grab and f113 shift her stance, so I though that might help) and I tried altering opponent facing also. In this particular situation 2+3 seem to do the trick regardless and its apparently a bug.
it is 1% more than nj2,2. but advantage is slightly less, so timing for f+3/b+1 is sort of strict here. I'd still opt for nj2,2 in tournament

It's not exactly new, but for her vortexes, I changed it up a bit for the same results, only more damage. Believe me, they're not hard to do once you understand the timing, and even in general, they're just not hard to do.....

After f3:

u3, u3, f112~slide, u3, dash- 35%
u3, u3, f113~slide(timing is a little different than f112, which is very easy to land), u3, dash- 37%
u3, u3, u3, 1~slide, u3- 37%

After b1u3:

alt. way that's easier to land: u3, f113~slide, u3, dash- 33%
