Why you should be excited for MKX in two months

xenogorgeous

.... they mostly come at night. Mostly.
good stuff will see all top players struggling among themselves to see "who is the master" of MKX in the first year of fg competition, hehe :D

I was excited till my Gamestop told me I couldn't pre-order and get Goro for the PC version

I'm super excited for character loyalty to be viable. We can actually have rivalries like the best Sub Zero player against the least shitty Scorpion player. We couldn't really have the same thing with characters like Joker and Batman who are story based rivals.

It's not a coincidence that NRS put so much attention into those character intro dialogues. They really do want the mythos of the Kombat universe to feed into the hype of player vs player matches, and variations accomplish this by allowing players to more firmly plant themselves in the shoes of their character.

I don't understand variation loyalty. Variation loyalty is definitely something NRS would see as taking away from their desired effect I just described. Why refuse this feature? If you want to deal with harsh bipolar matchups as a price for character loyalty, we will always have Injustice for that.

Obviously every game will bring new people (you forgot Filipinoman). We both know the above is not what people were talking about re: "communities coming together." Let's not be naive here. It was all about Filipino Champ (let's not forget his warnings to the NRS community), Justin Wong, and false dreams about team tournaments pitting NRS' finest against Capcom's finest, when everyone knew the usual suspects would just play the game for a few months then drop it.

At least, that's what I was referring to in my post.
FChamp is gonna play MKX. You'll see... You'll see :(

MK X will be a fresh start , i cannot wait for my local scene and online / offline newcomers to get back together , it's gonna be hype because it's a franchise we love since mk3 and we're want to be good at it.

Can't also wait to hang out w all the european players and be hype 'bout MK and show how EU MK do.

It's an exciting time to be a MK fan. I can't wait what MKX will bring when it drops.

@R.E.O. are you going to start streaming again before MKX drops? Also where you able to pick up a PS4?

Injustice was the gateway game for me into the FGC. So I really don't have that "connection" with MK like the most of you. But I'm super excited for MKX!

Not just cause it will be my 1st MK game (I played very little of MK9) but having the resurgence of scenes like Vegas, TX, VSM etc. and having other players that I've heard so much about but didn't see cause those scenes and players didn't care for IGAU as much as they did MK9.

By the time MKX hits I really want to go to more offline events and show up to GGA every month or so.

Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
A fresh game with a scene is alll I could hope fore.

At this point unless there is a scene in Morgantown WV it looks like my options are to play in Pittsburgh or in Teays Valley with @Vote4theGote and his crew. Both are a pretty long drive though. It'd be great if I could get with a local scene and we could travel and take on Gote or something for a WV thing each month. Bet we'd get all kinds of style specialists. I tend to play mid to low tier and get infatuated by gimmicky characters easily. Wherever I end up I hope to bring the eclectic to my scene. My last one had me as its Hawkgirl/Bane. Hoping to be the oddball again.

NRS, please don't patch this game every 2 weeks. Give it time to marinate. Thanks.

-Sincerely, some guy.
I am fairly certain that for patches, they are constantly working on found game issues and when they submit DLC, they include what they have so far in that update. This is why the "patch every 2 weeks" thing happens.

I agree to let the game "marinate", but it may not be a feasable business strategy... or maybe I'm just an idiot lol
