i Graduated in 1999-2000, the 90's were fuckin awesome,

Internet Came around
Music
Cartoons,
Napster
Starwars Came Back
Burning CD's
Mortal Kombat
Killer Instinct,
Rare- when they still made dope ass games
Every fuckin Kid 6 years and older didn't have a cell phone
You had to actually talk to girls in real life or you couldn't get to know them.
DVD's came around,
I could still rent video games to try them out
Vanilla Coke
Porn Magazines were still relevant and stealing them from the corner store was a god damn ArtForm
Gas Prices were still good,
Going to the Arcade was still an option

90's were the god damn bomb,

The 90's definitely did not suck.

The music, movies, cartoons, video games, etc... were amazing back then.

I did this every Saturday morning / afternoon:

And watched this every Saturday night. :D

Those were good times, I enjoyed every minute of the 90's.

The 90s were fucking awesome. Mainstream music was the best it'd been since the 70s. Popular/radio music has gone to utter shit since the 90s ended and payola started a sharp rise. Remember when you could turn on the radio and actually hear GOOD rock? Nirvana, STP, Smashing Pumpkins, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden? Hell, even a lot of the one-hit-wonders were awesome haha.

Whenever someone mentions the 90's, I immediately think of this:

This kind of music was my JAM, back then. Now I cringe whenever I hear one of them come on. But back then, I was ALLLLL about this shit.
yep, that eurodance shit was big over here in the early nineties too, great times.exstacy was stronger back then too, lol. no the nineties did not suck, the nineties were fucking awesome!

Some of the people in this thread:

I was born in 96, I cant remember anything from that time really, obviously, but I had a shit ton of 90's stuff in my house in the early 2000's and I feel like I got a small portion of the late 90's experience with old VHS tapes, re-runs on TV, a large collection of 90's CDs, and my Uncles collections of 80's and 90's comics, cards, and collectables.

It was a very awesome time period, but some of these early 90's people are getting fucked in the ass so hard by nostalgia that they bitch at any new modern trend or style no matter what it is.

He sums it up starting at 4:48 pretty much as far as the debate itself goes. It's not that the 90's sucked. It's that it was a decade that was uneventful, relatively speaking. But we needed that. The 90's rocked.

I remember being outside on a trampoline ... with no fucking net
Sticking the thing under my basketball goal while me and my 8 friends would play our own street version of NBA jam.... then when we could freaking walk anymore..... try to play wiffle ball.

Seriously...... If my job would let me go outside to do the work I would. I detest that I have to sit down for roughly 6 hours a day.

I honestly didn't really start gaming until I got into college.

I was way to busy not sitting infront of a computer.

90's were classic and probably the last time you'll see kids with social skills.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed too, but games now a days have zero difficulty, you're being force fed crap games now that you don't have to use your brain for. That's why I was really glad MK9 had such depth and variety. It's the only game I own on my xbox for that reason. First person shooters have become a joke, on a pc games like that run at 10x the speed. Basically as fast as your hand goes.

Quake was the first fully 3d shooter (3d characters and levels)

Take hugo's house of horror for example:
,
and lesiure suit larry :)

You used to have to type what you wanted the character to do in full english, after actually looking around and thinking. With time limits etc...

What I like about the 90s were the games speedrunners played. A lot of unknown games with awesome and silly stuff. I wonder if there are a lot of games like that now.

The 90's had things like Beavis and Butthead, grunge music, a period when MTV was cool (hard to imagine), better games, better consoles, arcades, better comics, better films.

The 2010's have been less than impressive.

The best part was the golden age of gaming, both the arcade scene and 16-bit era.

The best part of the 80s is that they ended.

The 90's had things like tupac, mike tyson, arcade machines with bleeding edge graphics, real mortal kombat.

Now we have skinny jeans, smart phone zombies, justin bieber.

The 90s were amazing for many reasons. Even the gaming systems of the 80s and 90s are my favorites. I play just as much NES and SNES as I do PS3. If only we had online gaming for games back then, imagine how it would have been.
