@REO i guess you are basing this matchups on kabal been able to use b2 dash cancel on them and they not having good tools to deal with kabal's zonning right? is b2 that strong against characters with a big hitbox?
wouldn't 9-1 be like can only win if the other persons controller broke? I actually find Mileena less annoying for Sheeva than Raiden teleporting out of all her slow ass strings.
Unless we're on your level you'll beat us no matter who we select(and probably you select for that matter), so I fail to see how this proves anything. In order for this to be a legitmate test, the Kano player would have to be equal to you in skill level.
No, 9-1 means they can win 1 out of every 10 games legitimately. 10-0 would be what you're thinking of.
The problem is how do we know the challenger is at the same skill level as Reo? Its not like we can rate skill objectively, so I'm not sure what the challenge would prove.

is there really no one that thinks they can not win 2 games with kano against reo? detroit? cdjr? anyone? surely theres someone out there that can beat reo a minimum 2 times outta 10 using kano.
It's more about experience. If a good Kano played a good Kabal then it may be 9-1 in that first series. If those 2 players then played 500 games, the Kano would know the Kabal off by heart. Then if they played again it would probably be 7-3 or something. MK9 does not have that much depth. It's still at heart just a fairly simple guessing game.
How can MK be one of the most balanced games out there with 9-1, 8-2, and 7-3 Matchups. That's something I don't understand.
i think as time is going on the game is starting to get fully fleshed out opinions on the match ups and balance was obviously going to change from the infantile stage of the game to now or even the future. i for one .. think there isnt enough "masters" of characters yet to decide match ups.... however I also think while mk9 is deep...I dont think the system is deep enough to allow certain characters to bend match ups more in than favor.Its like certain things in this game is set in stone but what do I know...im new here lol
I don't know sunshine, maybe you should go do one up. If you can seriously sit there and tell me that you can't rate a player's overall skill level based on their fundamentals, using examples of good and bad decisions at a tournament level, then you're an even bigger joke than I thought.
That's what I thought, you're full of shit. You're the one claming you can, so go for it. Sure, I can tell that Reo is better than, say you, but when you start talking about Reo or CDjr, its not so clear.
Kabal isn't the only character in the game who needs to be toned down, though. Hello Sonya, Jax and Kenshi.
I think the only brain-dead characters in the game are Cage and Kabal. One just takes a bit more skill to use than the other.
other than Kabal MK is pretty balanced, the only thing not balanced is Kabals stupid iagb's and infinite 2ndcs. still he only beats one character 8-2 imo everything else is 7-3 and 6-4 and a few 5-5s. Kabal doesn't need to be nerfed, just banned! I quit taking that guy seriously a long time ago. lol
