Guide Raiden Frame Data

The Bat in the Hat
Hmm, looking over this, I didn't realize that Raiden actually has fairly good low pokes except for his D4.

Duration includes startup so it is 10 in front and 19 behind.

19, but because your character is facing the other way, you can't punish it with something with that high of execution. Teleport is essentially -13. Here's the deal... it almost always takes 5 frames to turn around, but if your attack is read on the frame that Raiden first switches sides then it takes 7 frames to turn around. I just assume Raiden disappears completely and the game engine just explodes for 2 frames. This means that an attack with 14 execution will never punish it if you have to turn around, 1(to not have it take 7 frames to turn)+5+14 = 20.

so this means that raiden is actually at advantage after cancelling 22, b2 f1 and d4 into teleport do to the cancel advantage? if this is the case im pickign raiden back up

No, because you turn around instantly if you recover from blocking more than 1 frame after he switches sides. Anything +12 and above.. I assume as +11 has the rule but he doesn't have anything that is +12.

Somberness I would like you to elaborate a bit more on Raiden's D1 on block. If i remember correctly if your opponent blocks D1 and you cancel it into tele, the opponent wont turn around instantly. Exactly how much advantage or disadvantage is Raiden at after D1 tele on hit and block?

It would have the turning around frames but the actual disadvantage would just be the cancel advantage minus 29. I think for d1 on hit, a 9 frame attack or lower could still punish it. Either 9 or 8, not sure about that.

Can you do f3 cancel advantage on hit?
EDIT
Nevermind I guess I was playing Unpatched somehow

all of those canceled into teleport put you at -1 if i remember correctly. I made a personal chart of every move canceled into teleport on block. So in the best case scenario you can back dash and use b3 to whiff punish any pokes... but that's best case scenario.

Shoot them. Shoot them all.
So Krys9984 and I are doing a video for Jade on when to EN Glow during block strings. What strings for Raiden do you know FOR SURE have gaps? Somberness anyone?

So his down 3 is -9 on block? If that's true then why does he recover so quickly . Idk just asking , I was in the lab earlier able to almost counter 7 frame down 3s on skarlet after she blocked . Is it maybe negative 7?

While Raiden may recover lightning-quick from a blocked D3, his opponent recovers nine frames faster than he does.
Natural human reflexes disallow most people from using Raiden's block disadvantage to their benefit.

So if I happen to do 1,2,1 and miss the hit confirm on 1,2,1 shocker, I can do 1,2,1,2 teleport and actually be +12 because the opponent still needs to turn around? And even if they block it I'll only be -2. Not too shabby.
