Injustice - Black Adam vs Raven PAX East Gameplay from IGN

I really want to see if there is a different stage transition for the Ferris Air Arena. Also I'd like to see a better video of the lower to upper level of Wonder Woman's Arena . Looks like a catapult could be awesome!!!

Plus on block.
Well as you can see its slow as dicks, and predictable, the only problem I have with it is that it should be heavily effected by damage scaling since it can be so easily combo'd.

Indeed! Going to make for some interesting corner-plays.. Big risk-reward having someone in the corner if break + transition = +30%.
I dig it, though. It's like the IGAU equivalent of playing Marvel or Tekken and getting caught in a corner loop or a wall carry.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned that Stage Transition damage is worth a third of a bar.

That's a heavy chunk of life there...
I dunno, seemed reasonable to me. I'm largely unaffected by this because I foresee myself holding on to meter to get people the fuck off me and EX moves (depending on their usefulness for whatever character I play).

I don't think stage transitions are going to be a huge part of the actual metagame. NRS is just overplaying their existence because people love novelty. The transitions will have some sort of role, I'm sure... Getting to areas where the background interactives are more in your favor or whatever. For the most part, I think people are just going to opt to hold on to the corner rather than blow meter on a gimmick.

Stage transitions will mostly be used for winning with style. Calling it now.

EDIT: Wait... can you transition from anywhere on screen or does it have to be in the corner? I'm tired as fuck but everything I can remember showed the transitions happening pretty close to the corner.

If it's anywhere on the screen, it's basically 25% meter for an autocombo and a few seconds to collect your thoughts. Which is sweet.

There's so much shit to do with meter in this game...

There is a certain range near the corner of the stage you can do a transition from. In training mode you will be able to highlight it.

1) I fucking love this game's training mode. I don't think I've ever utilized training mode in a fighting game for anything other than practicing combos. This game might change that. Considering once I get my head around a fighter's metagame and find my character, I maintain a 75% win average in every fighter I play... I'm interested to see if this will have a positive effect on that. I'd love to be kicking 8-8.5 out of every ten asses rather than 7.5...

2) Yeah, I was right about myself pretty early on: stage transitions are not something I'll be using a lot of, if at all. Maybe it's a mental relic from my days of playing Venom in Guilty Gear, but I just can't find the key to rationalizing the act of willfully relinquishing the corner.

It could actually be some help to characters that have a lack-luster corner game. Easy big damage and it can reset the environment in their favor again.

Even in theory, the possible meta-game for Injustice is very exciting.

EDIT: Can't stage transitions be done without meter as well as with? This could give another damage opportunity to characters who rely on massive meter building/use for their corner set-ups and are relatively low on meter.
