You really need to do your homework a bit better on this one. Dink showed ABSOLUTELY nothing of the sort, and he had to deliberately do the pseudo so slow that it was no faster than an average string, while pretending he was countering TB's Quan Chi vortex, while doing absolutely nothing of the sort.Seems like something the community should make a concerted effort to know, at least for your main characters.
As absolutely distasteful as I find this thread, and well, Tom Brady in general to be honest, I have absolutely no problems with giving Kenshi in particular better frames. I still think some labbing is in order to discover options. As DInk showed with TB's last Quan Chi video, TB is bad at actually doing that so you can't trust his word to be the final say on the subject.

It's not ok to have character specific bullshit, I agree. But other characters have this, not just Liu Kang. If things have to be fixed, it needs to be done for the entire cast, not just a single character/variation.Lord of The Fly came on stream to tell me Kenshi had plenty of options but I am misinforming people.
Dude.. this is the FACT about the block trap and will be the last thing i say on it.
1. MOST characters will trade as a poke out.. a TRADE.
2. Some can poke out of it period.
3. Some have almost no options are extremely limited when it comes to getting out, causing them to get looped over and over at times.
If its fine, then we all agree its fine and im done with the matter. I was asked to do something, I did it, done...
Most of themHonest question:
How many of the top 15 characters we see in tournament cant get out of this?
But you see, the main subject here is the game having character specific broken stuff, which is insulting to character loyalists with mains who is on the list of characters that are vulnerable to bullshit.Honest question:
How many of the top 15 characters we see in tournament cant get out of this?
But most of those characters lose to other top tiers. So we don't see them in tournament anyways. How would this change that? But you see, the main subject here is the game having character specific broken stuff, which is insulting to character loyalists with mains who is on the list of characters that are vulnerable to bullshit.
It will fix certain matchups, like Liu Kang vs Kenshi as Tom was trying to explain how this is potentially might be a 7-3 or worse. But it will not stop from same characters to be on Top 8s over and over again, that's true. But most of those characters lose to other top tiers. So we don't see them in tournament anyways. How would this change that?
NOOO!i have already said it once and for the last time saying buff those characters who are having trouble in escaping the pressure (give them faster normals). Nerfing a perticular is not a solution because it is done already in 1000 previous patches. And if any thing needs to be gone from this game first is not Liu Kang's pressure there are other bullshit too. Ice Clone is one of them.
Unless the EX armor move is really fast, meter is not very relevant against Liu Kang because of b+1. You need a 6 frame poke in order to avoid trading. But even then, because only one gap exists, it is very easy to bait and block the poke and start doing f+2,1,3 loops.Soooo... is this a true block infinite on some characters when they have no meter?
yes it's a true infinite
*dies*Its not a true infinite
People are weenies, they're not interested in outplaying their opponent so much as they are winning freeWhere has this idea that block advantage is bad unless it jails come from?
Armor usually mean full combo, it is called a reversal (nice to have for wakeups too), not sure what you are playing.....b1 stuffs armor after mb FK, what are you talking about? and btw, you seriously think that is fair for a character to have only one option against his block pressure? Liu kang doesnt even spend anything outside of stamina to get that, and you're only option is to guess your way out, spending a bar, and, for most of the cast, dont get anything afterwards? no set up, no oki, no nothing... im pretty sure that the competitive scene prefer to have the same results with less effort, cause liu kang has an high execution gap, it still doesnt justify some of his bullshit.
i thought we played "Mortal Kombat: X", not "Liu Kang's block loops all day learn the MU get over it: X"
who cares? I'd rather have a fighting chance in a shit mu with my shitter than be forced to deal with this. But most of those characters lose to other top tiers. So we don't see them in tournament anyways. How would this change that?
I play DF Liu and I've seen some players supporting the pseudo block infinite months ago.Yes? Then get rid of it. Ronin lost his infinite almost immediately with the support of the entire Takeda community. If this is true, some of these Kang players are total bitches.
No one is against jailing you bum. We're against block infinites which is a little different.... Also no one uses 114 into forceballs so I don't know why you're talking about that. 113 is the mixup, 114 is for jailing and spending a bar for no mixup. You have a liu kang avatar and you're talking to someone about Downplaying?? Loooooool. Typical TYM poster. And who says you have to use 113? 114 ex forceballs. He may not build as much meter but jailing is jailing and his f3 is a free tool for that. If people are against jailing then nrs should remove it and rebalance those characters. But that wont happen.
What does my avatar have to do with anything moron... oh you can get jailed by 114 ex forceballs but "nobody uses it". You sound like the people who say "yeah you can get put in a block infinite but nobody uses it" .please.No one is against jailing you bum. 113 isn't a mixup either though lol.. its just less chip and a chance for your opponent to armor through. If I remember, SylverRye was discussing jailing/frame trap options, which is why he said to use 114 after a 4xxSKRC... You for some reason thought he meant 113 or something and tried to point out that it has holes for some irrelevant point. No one is against jailing you bum. Its not a true infinite
yes, he has a TRUE block infinite on SOME characters WITHOUT meter at the cost of STAMINA, that guy is getting to Dink levels pretty quick*dies*
Nah, 113 is a mixup. 11 into f2 is johnnys only way of opening people up for the most part. The rest is just pressure/chip which Liu does better anyways. Nowhere am I saying Johnny isn't good but he doesn't have dirt like this either.113 isn't a mixup either though lol.. its just less chip and a chance for your opponent to armor through. This is false. There is no special "extra frame to come out of block stun" as some say.For the record, MB Bicycle kick is +2 on block, B1 starts in 9 frames. If B1 is done to the frame after a blocked MB BK, only 6f pokes will trade, 7f pokes/normals won't trade, because of the extra block-releasing frame.
So you need either 6f normals or 7f specials.
