MKX Comic Plot Discussion & Speculation Thread

they release the first issue online, so you buy it and get exited. then they release it with two more issues "offline", to make you pay it AGAIN because of your excitement. now THAT'S piracy.

I would read the comic, but don't feel it's worth buying. It's very short and even though its a dollar, and a cool idea, I just wouldn't buy them. So does that mean I should never be allowed to see inside of an issue?

I think support of $100 > .99c, no? I think people like me and others, the types that would be members here, have "earned" to be shared a comic every once in a while as much as NRS has "earned" my money up to $100 cash from me. Some people would buy it regardless and some people would never buy it but would read it from a friend.

Actually, if you count MK9 and Injustice with MKX's future when talking about "support", you're talkin about $300 worth of "support" vs a few .99cent issues being shared after someone already bought it. So I'm not sure if that word means what you think it means.
The writers of the comic don't work for NRS, so they don't get paid for the game.

Also the answer to your question is yes. If you don't want to pay a dollar for it, you don't really deserve to read it.

edit: If you end up going out and buying the inevitable volumes though the whole thing is a wash. Just make sure to buy something.

It means exactly that.

That's is literally what it means.

If you want to pirate or take advantage of a thing that isn't supposed to be free being free, no one can stop you, do what you want, it's your perogative and you can deal with whatever consequences(if any, usually none) come with it on your own.

Just don't, no, never think that you are justified in doing so or are entitled.

All this love for this boring as hell cowboy is getting khrome lvls annoying to me lol.

My money is on Error becoming another Rain. A fan favorite on TYM but not popular among the bigger fanbase. Then ends up getting left out of future games to TYM's outrage of 12 people.

Also judging from the comic Black is angling to take Baraka's spot as MK's resident jobber in canon fights. WHICH IS GREAT! Maybe Baraka can win ONE fight in the story mode now. Just one. If that's not asking to much.

Plz? No? Alright maybe in MK11 then...

.

Also @Zoidberg747

So if a tym member PM's me the comic issue he bought that's wrong? What if he emails it? What if he gives me a copy of MK9 for free? What if he lets me borrow MK9? What if a friend of mine who hates Injustice comes over to my house and plays the game, and still has no intention of buying it? What if I let said person borrow Injustice for the weekend knowing he has no intention of buying it and he gives it back after completing the story??

Is it only wrong when posted on TYM but perfectly ok in private and in other situations?? No one has answered this yet.

Weak ass arguments. A person who pays for a copy has as much right to post it as he does to email it to me or just give it to me for free in my hand because he's done with it.

I'll "support" with my already pre-ordered $100 towards the game with my Kombat Pack as well as buying an extra copy for my other system and who knows what else. You guys can keep "supporting" with your 99 cents ever so often and your one time purchase of MKX. Everyone "supports" in their own way. Done with this topic.

How can he be boring when you haven't seen anything of him yet? Also why do hate the cowboy theme? At least it is something different and not another boring fucking ninja

Not being a Ninja doesnt make him interesting. He's basically another generic merc so far. Until I see him do anything cool that separates him from the cannon fodder of Red Dead Redemption he's shitty Deathstroke to me.

Also I hate most of the boring ass Ninjas as well. Exception for Sub Zero because he is actually a very fleshed out and diverse character that is iconic and I love personally as well.

The silent mysterious cowboy theme is just as played out if not more than Ninja from Hell so I don't know what your problem with my statement is.

No problem with your statement, I was curious to your reasoning. Him being a cowboy is still a change of pace to the MK archetypes that already exist.
