What Character Should I Teach my Wife?

I don't know if you already decided to go with someone else's reply but do you know what sort of playstyle she would prefer? Rushdown? Zoner? Well rounded? Vortex? If she's not all that familiar with fighting games, honestly Doomsday might be the best bet to start with.

You already know the character so it'll be easier to teach her, and he's relatively easy as far as execution is concerned.

If she wants to zone, Sinestro is probably a good starter choice as well; start off learning the zoning aspect and then venture into his vortex once she's ready to level up further. My two cents

A decision won't be made until Monday more than likely. That's when we're going to start.

But I honestly have no idea what she'll be interested in. I'll probably explain to her the differences for each style and see what she says.

If she knows anything about dc has her pick a character she likes. If not have her learn basics in tutorial mode which they really should make for each character. And then Let her play around with character until she likes one

Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
Either Batgirl or Batman. She'll be prepared for anything this way and wont suffer as a new player from the possible issue of trying to learn a character only to discover it doesn't fit her "style" of play. Not everyone goes for zoning like Zod and not everyone goes for meeting offense with more offense like Bane. I say choose two strong overall characters to teach her with lots to offer and decent matchups like those two and it should be cool.

Failing that...Hawkgirl. Easy pressure/damage strings to learn a new player.

Awkward Sloth

Lamest Harley, still better sloth than Jer
I might be wrong but aren't you from Florida? If so that means Florida Doomsdays dawg and the Harley Quinnettes Cheerleaders.

You can't fight tradition.

What I'm trying to say is tell her to play Harley.

Wonder Woman. Unleash the feminist in her
WW was the first character I played and having not played a fighter for years I found her very easy to pick up. She has great damage, easy confirms, her combos can be adapted for ease with little loss to damage and then there's heaps to learn once you get comfortable with the basics with her. It's a little tricky learning both stances at first though and you can't approach every MU with a similar game plan like some characters seem able to. Generally with WW you're only going to win if you actually outplay your opponent

Perfectly put. She's a hell of fun too and rewarding

Nothing felt better than beating pre-patch Deathstroke with her :) second only to Zatanna in terms of fun to use in my opinion. I should probably thank you man I remember watching a video earlyish in the games life of you running a WW mirror match, you were the reason I stepped out of lasso and gave shield stance a try
