How should Sub-Zero come back in MK10? And Who should he be?

So, I've brought this up in a few other topics and figured time to make a thread assuming Boon can't give us an answer within say a few months. We know Scorpion will be in, but what about Sub-Zero? Hard to imagine an MK game without Sub-Zero or at least A Sub-Zero.

So if he's brought back how do you think they'll do it?

A few theories of mine:

1. They have Raiden or the Elder Gods resurrect him, and if so which one? Do they bring back Bi-Han aka Noob-Saibot now or do they bring back Kuai Liang/Tundra aka Sub-Zero younger brother? If so, would you like to see his ninja form back or cyber version again? I say personally, they should resurrect the second Sub-Zero and bring him back to his human form in the process, hopefully more powerful too.

or They resurrect Noob-Saibot into his former self and thus become Sub-Zero again?

2. They decide to not bring back any form of a previous Sub-Zero and perhaps create a new character all together to take the mantle of Sub-Zero, perhaps an unknown cyromancer or relative of the Sub-Zero brothers already?

3. They decide to make Frost the new Sub-Zero(afterall with some things changed now with time travel events) this could happen, but personally I hope not...

4. Similar to the 2nd theory, but instead what if it were a new character but female Sub-Zero? NOT Frost...just someone else, maybe revealed Sub-Zero had a lost sister? Afterall, they did write that story in MK Conquest for those who watched it you know what I'm talking about so could be very possible.

5. We have an MK without a Sub-Zero....

It all depends if NRS follows the story in story mode or the character endings in the arcade. Like for example Liu Kang being a "God" and Bo Rai Cho and trains Shang Tsung to stop him, Cyrax leaving the Lin Kuei and joining the "Forces of Light" side. It all depends though. If all teh "Elder Gods" will probably resurrect Kuai Lang and Quan Chi will Ressurect Noob since he was loyal to him in the first place.

True, though from past experience they tend to follow the story as the canon with only a few endings that could make sense with it and be canon(such as say Ermac's ending for example) they could use that perfectly since Shao Kahn is dead, Ermac is free to make his own choice now...where as someone like Scorpion and Sub-Zero's ending probably not likely since Scorpion would hunt Quan-Chi first before going with Sub-Zero and Sub's I doubt is canon.

Notice for example some things also while some changed, others stayed the same such as Shinnok and QC planning to take over Earth, OW etc which happened in the original MK 4 time line as well...

So it should be interesting to see what they do.

I think if the Elder Gods or Raiden do it, it would make sense and not be much of a loophole since well EG's at least can do anything really lol. Know what I mean? Even Raiden as we're learning seems to pull newer powers out of his hat lol with each MK game. I don't mind him as a villian he's badass in general but I just like it when he thinks for himself. Yeah exactly, Kuai Liang is dead so he can't help him anymore find the truth, Scorpion MK 4 should start with him finding out the truth that QC framed Sub-Zero and exploited the clan rivalry to his advantage as the real killer of his family and clan.

I would like the second choice, bring back Bi Han as the original Subzero. I'd only take this scenario if MK9's story was cannon, in that Cyber Subzero is now actually dead, and some mysterious way Noob Saibot gets altered back into his former self, as Subzero.

Here's something short I came up with how this can be done for MK10:

"While the Elder gods were trying to close the portal Quan Chi had opened connecting the Netherrealm to Earthrealm, Shinnok's army was ready to invade. During this onslaught, Noob Saibot was found in Outworld... Altered in his former self. The original, Sub-Zero. His cybernetic younger brother Kuai Liang however, was permanently killed from the blast when Nightwolf collided with Sindel, after having killed many of Earth's greatest warriors in Mortal Kombat."

Kuai Liang has been Sub-Zero for every game with the exception of MK1. I'm pretty sure he owns the name Sub-Zero just as Bi-Han owns the name Noob Saibot. I'll go ahead and say hell no to frost. HELL NO!

Yeah Kuai Liang though without doubt, I don't care how. I have my preferred way, but as long as Kuai Liang is back as Sub-Zero I'm fine. Remember he is still Sub-Zero anyway. Kitana , Jax, Kung Lao, etc.. are all still themselves in death. Sub-Zero is no exception.

My opinion on that is because it would give us way too many cryomancers and would kill Noob Saibot. Bi-Han coming back as Sub-Zero wouldn't matter anyway because all of the Bi-Han fans just want "badass" Sub-Zero back IMO. That's just not going to happen because if Bi-Han emerges from the soulnado as Sub-Zero then he theoretically should be completely pure and good.

Plus, Cyber Sub-Zero wasn't very popular let's go ahead a admit that. On top of that fact, he will just be left out of the game because Bi-Han could fill the more defensive cryomancer role while Frost would fill the speedier rushdown cryomancer role. Basically leaving Kuai Liang obsolete and what the hell would Noob Saibot even do if he wasn't Bi-Han?

All together Kuai Liang just leaves less to explain if he is brought back as Sub-Zero.IMO
