Tech Nightwing - Corner Wakeup Reversals

So, you are all familiar with Doomsday's dash forward reversing wake-up shenanigans in the corner right?

Nightwing can do it too! Against the entire cast after a naked u3 in the corner. A properly timed dash forward after splatting them with the U3 (hard knockdown) will make every single wake-up in the game reverse and guarantee Nightwing a full combo punish. This is especially helpful in the frost, Zod, Bane, Doomsday, MMH, Lex etc. match-ups where opponents have safe advancing specials...they become full punished combos.

The larger/taller the body, the more difficult the timing is. If the opponent does block your u3 (as in not gets splatted by it, you still are at 10 frames of advantage so it's useful to toss out as a check.)

The smaller bodied characters seem to be a lot more forgiving as far as the reversal timing. Great thing is if you go to early, you are still safe due to the nature of the splat.

This won't win you matches or change match-ups, but it's going to be a hell of a lot harder for KF and company to get out of the corner.

Very nice. I knew you could do this but I did not know it worked on bigger bodied characters, guess I was timing it wrong. I'll have to play with it. The real test is my most hated WU 's >_> Wing evade and Mace charge lol

Yea Wing Evade is pretty annoying.

It does the same think and if you let the ground spark go it OTG's. Give it a try you'll see.

Yeah pretty much this. Even when I got the timing down kinda consistently, I felt like I'd rather oki in a different. way.

Yea it is! I can post a video on this thread if you want. I haven't test it with every wake up but it does work on most of them.

I usually use it as a quick stand into FK or ss, not a wakeup reversal

Well its not a true OTG in the sense that your opponent can effectively wake up from it but the timing is a strict since the game's gravity comes into play

The ground spark does NOT OTG. It's similar to Sajam's B2 Spark setups. Wakeups will blow right through it.

Fraps lol makes it hard to do ANYTHING while recording, but it's the quickest/most efficient recording that I have for Injustice. KI makes it so easy lol

Look at the hight. I used to use this pre patch but stopped cause I sucked then lol. any combo with a low enough juggle state ended in 113 can be reversed with spark cancel, dash F. Even staff to Escrima conversions like

staff Corner:
J2,2,B3, jb 3, D2, 4xx EF, d2, EF, 113

you can spark and dash FWRD for the same result. once you get used to it you will notice the juggle timing and do it alot.
