Who is the hardest and/or most technical character to use?

In my opinion you cant play reckless with Joker. He's a character you have to think ahead with. Which setups to use at what times. MMH is a nice challenge for me too.

I'm just a scrub, but I don't think Zatanna would nearly as hard to use if she could actually connect a j.1/2 once in a while.

Some of Batgirl's more advanced combos are a bit hard, but apart from that she's pretty easy.

Zatanna
  • There is no Auto Pilot
  • A Zatanna caught not thinking is a Zatanna that is dead
  • A Zatanna plays completely different in just about EVERY MU.
  • She has no "one size fits all" playstyle
  • She is the most dynamic and is built off mind games.
  • She's the only character that I think at this point allows you to TRULY innovate.
  • Yet at the same time has no easy button.

Superman, Batman and Green lantern.

Superman: There is two different kind of laser attacks. One straight and one that goes like...uh..not straight. Anyway, two!! Who has the time to learn that? Would be much better to learn a noob char like Zatanna.

Batman: His hook thingy. You have to "meterburn" to make your opponent stand still....wtf is a meterburn

Green Lantern: NR is trying to trick you to use anything else than Lanterns might, which is bullshit. 2Deep4me.

I think Catwoman is both one of the easiest and hardest characters at the same time. Her Kombos are very interchangeable but to play her at high level you need the timing to be able to whiff an F3 or land one after a bounce.

I have also found that Nightwing is not a pick-up-and-play character.

Shazam can be pretty difficult since he's primarily a knockdown mix-up character in a game where wake-ups are basically free. Also he takes a lot of conditioning to get his game started and you must be able to convert out of as much as possible to keep momentum going.

I feel like Bane has the most tech available atm, many probably don't realize it when fighting him, but he has so many set-ups, which also makes him one of the most interesting characters to play as imo.

Lex looks like a difficult character, as does Zatanna.

For me, it's between Zatanna, Lex, and Zod. Coincidentally they're all characters that are heavy on setups. I'm leaning toward Zatanna, though. It's up to the person using her to really make the most out of her diverse moveset. She has the potential to mix you up for days, whether hi-lo or left-right. However, her normals have weak range and her overhead and low combo starters have rather significant startup. Which means you can't simply j2 and use different strings in hopes of mixing up your opponent. Simply standing at the edge of the screen and spamming projectiles is also out of the question because you have to have a setup to go into trait, and then you have to be careful of not getting hit or you get knocked out of it. Plus its timed, so its not like you can shoot projectiles for as long as you'd like. While she does have a decent projectile in her suit and tie stance, it's not a move you can just spam against most of the cast.

Execution-wise, she takes more practice than most of the cast. Things like levitate canceling and teleporting since the input is pretty strict. However, it's nothing impossible. If you've played pretty much any other fighting game at a higher than casual level, then you'll have no problem using her. Although, again, inputting teleport can be annoying especially in a brisk match.

She's a very cerebral character with an unique approach to fighting. I'm very happy with her moveset. Fantastic job by NRS.

Sorry. If you want to see what real execution barriers are try playing anime games or even Capcom games.
True but how did your answer help answer the question or provide any kind of useful feedback? He asked a fairly simple question and "Trololol this easy bro" doesn't really help and just makes you look like someone that just wants to point out how great he is (as seen by the other reply you received).

Back to the topic at hand. I like to separate the characters into two different kinds of "difficult". There is obviously execution but then there is complexity. I don't need to explain execution obviously. Injustice is fairly light on execution and all characters are relatively close to each other if we compare them to other games. That being said, some characters rely on specials that are a bit obnoxious to execute like some of the command grabs. Others have some tight links that are important to do any significant damage. In any case I think talking about execution isn't that interesting in Injustice.

Complexity is another matter entirely. There are some characters that can get by fine with just a midscreen and one corner combo. Throw in some special moves, a bit of blocking, a throw every once in a while and you are good to go. Other characters though have to use almost their entire move set, different mix-up scenarios and/or setup scenarios in order to succeed. Zod, Zatanna, MMH, Lex and Lobo all fall into this category. They are probably followed by CatWoman, Harley, Joker, Ares, Batgirl and Nightwing.
