MK will always have it's own place far from Injustice. Both games are fun to play but let's be honest, MK is by far a more "adult" game ( DarkSomethinG i couldn't put it any better dude ). However I still enjoy playing Catwoman as much as I enjoy Mileena in MK. They have the same fighting style I'm guessing? Long live MK

Injustice introduced me to the fighting game community, and the NRS community.

I really enjoyed watching mk9 at EVO and I was sure that I would be picking it up.

And then I was told about p1 advantage.

play umk3 or mkt. better than mk9.

My heart was broken when my good friend and loyal MK buddy 1man3letters told me that the tournament runners for Ireland stopped MK9 to run Injustice instead. I stopped travelling down because I couldn't keep up spending the money to travel down if "my" game was replaced with another. If both where run I would've definitely entered Injustice no questions asked.... but travelling down just for Injustice..... wheres the justice in that for an MK diehard? I hope Injustice kontinues to do well but I need my Kombat, my kharacters, my environment..... my block button lol LaR Nutrient @Kurotao @BrianVonDoom :'(

I play once or twice every week with my friends online , the lag can be nasty but its hella fun , mk9 has its flaws but if you break any fighting game down it will have too! unfortunately i'm stopping playing mk9 at the end of December for good! I know I will miss it..as i'd say its the best FG to date..but I think i'm making the right call at the end of the day.

MK9 can come back, we are the ones holding it back declaring it's death after last evo. All Mk9 needs to get back to where it was before is support.That means we need more entrants at majors , more weekly streams like VSM used to do.If we really want Mk9 back as a community I don't see why we can't accomplish that.Like I said the only thing holding it back is us.

What are you talking about?! Of course it is lol; not everyone is talented enough to be able to switch mentalities from one game to another and still play at the highest level.

What djt did at Evo is beyond incredible! The fact that he got second and not first in injustice is probably why people are not talking about how he is one of the best people to grace the fgc. Imagine what would have had happened had he got first in both!

Anyone who's ever even made top 8 in more than one game at a major deserves huge props; Chris g, djt, balrog, reo, pl, waffles. This is a list of the true elite. Not everyone can just switch from mk to injustice on the fly man.

I had a few buddies in my neighborhood over last week and we all played mk9. And they are all very casual. Why is it they can play it still after 2 and a half years, but "competitive" and "tournament" players can't. Its not even like you have to practice as much as injustice or even at all. But to just stop playing it completely... I dont get it.

I dont care if its not the new game anymore. When i go to majors i still am there to play as many mk casuals as possible. Ask zaf or @sonic fox 3000 or AC1984 at Summerjam I was all over mk9 during the injustice tournament lol

Tried this earlier and apparently the source code still isn't known making the game very difficult to mod. We don't have many modders in the community willing to put in the time or effort. The TYM Admin Zaq did give a nice list of links to modding communities that would be beneficial to you if you're trying to get something started.

I'm buying it on Thursday when I get paid. For some reason I have the urge to play the game again.

The reason I ask is because I am a programmer and have modding experience. MK9 is not my cup of tea but injustice is, im fairly certain they have the same architecture as well. I am most likely going to strive to edit move sets for injustice, however, I wouldn't mind delving into MK9 if the community has interest in using such a tool.

I should be good I have an intel i7, 2gb Nvidia and 8gb of ram. Maybe not high settings but i can definitely run it.

By Default, the game is not set to run at 60fps. This causes a HUGE problem when you try to play the game in offline mode or online.
For fighters to be played properly with 0 lag or 0 slow down ( yes for even offline mode) you need to run the game at 60 fps constantly 24/7/365.

if you do install it let me know, I can help you to ensure your nvidia settings so that you can run at 60 fps.
you basically need to turn vsync off in 3d settings for MK and for general settings.
