Hi, Goober! I found this on WW vs Captain Cold. Kitana Prime is using her here against Sonic.

He uses her meter burned shield toss chain to get around the snow globe. I usually just charge toward them knowing they will try to keep me there with a melee or jump in and so follow with a bash. It is risky but I am impatient and it costs me less here than versus Superman.
Thanks. I saw them play earlier. They also played the MU on Sonic's stream a few days back, but KP wasn't real sure what to do about it then.

KP definitely does some stuff I've had to go try after seeing. I hadn't really thought about paying to loop shield into lasso or knew you could do it at max shield range. I have paid for shield loops on their own or to pull them into f23 range. Generally not the best use of meter mid match, but it's really handy when it will close out a match. That using 3, bash into corner, d12, bash as a wall bounce ender thing he does I'm finding a challenge.

Hold up, Akro is up (and he wins) and I think KP will be soon

It is great for the zoners in ranked who are trying to let the time run out. It will pull them into lasso range with 2 or 3 bars depending. I love getting Hail Athena and eaking out a victory that way

Any help against Deadshot (or other zoners)? Any links to any videos?

I honestly don't see how it's possible to win consistently against heavy zoners. I can be patient and inch forward as much as I want, but one tiny mistake is full screen again.

Akro has some great vids on his channel and his infographic in the first two pages has excellent strategy.

Versus Swamp Thing and the move where he kicks a log at you, up close the move has two hits so parry only absorbs the first hit (kind of like Robins anime run move) but if they are using to limit your closing the distance you can parry and bash, Shield toss, or jump in.

been having a hard time verses Supergirl. I'm finding it extremely difficult to fight a lame supergirl. Does anyone have any tips or videos i can refer to?

In Akro We Trust! Akromaniac27 has a YouTube channel with great footage. There are Supergirl players you can partner with as part of the Grindstone initiative on the boards.

The graphic Akro posted in this thread has a great summary of the approach.

In addition to those, I also found the discussion of How To Beat Supergirl on YouTube really helpful, two in particular: one by Nickops and one by Shujinkydink.

It boiled down to be patient, assess their pattern, and don't be afraid to commit to strategic action. As you slowly close on her she will teleport. Be prepared and punish hard.

It is better now but if I get impatient I still struggle

Any Wonder Woman player want to enlighten me on how to fight against her as Batman? Seems in her favor from my point of view but I want to know how I should be playing the MU. Keep running into a WoWo player and I can't crack how to fight her.

As a Batman main, I agree that WW may win now. Just parry batarangs until you get into shield toss range. WW builds more bar for parry than Batman does for batarang. As a result, shield toss MB mindgame makes it safe. WW probably wins the neutral now, and j2 vortex is basically gone.

She definitely controls the neutral for the most part and his batarangs are useless full screen, actually they're helpful for her to build meter with her parry since he can't mb them after a certain point. I see it being hard for Batman especially now. I guess stay out of her range and wait to build trait, only advance forward when you release at least 1 bat and pressure and choose stages with interactables that help with mobility. Be weary of your useless zoning. Either be full screen loading trait or pressuring. Rinse and repeat

Pressuring is hard when it's hard enough to get in and when Wonder Woman players use pushblock with all the meter she builds. I honestly don't know what Batman does to be quite honest. Bats are good, but it's not as if he releases bats and he's automatically in, y'know?

I'm trying to figure out what her options are against his revolver shot. Start up is pretty quick, and it's all but safe. Even a few paces away he can get out a second shot and beat an attempt to followup with bash (part of that is a weird hitbox thing going on). Recovery at a distance is so fast you can't use down time to creep in the same way you can with a lot of character projectiles.

It's not like the Aquaman situation where you can both punish one another's shit; he has full rights to and you none. He can shoot, block return shield, and punish with another shot at any range. It goes full screen, and the tempo can be varied making it hard to find ways to creep across max distance. You could try to pay to get in, but there is a good chance you get blown up for trying and it probably wont be your turn when you get there.

If you do get close then he can probably pounce away to get distance back. I don't think people are playing him that way, but it seems like they could against WW. I've only run into one so far, but he got a lot of mileage out of the revolver. Now that I'm digging around in practice I'm still not sure what I should have done.

Not sucking could help, but I've not figured that one out.

Well you try to zone he out. She can parry into forward dash and recover in time to parry a next batarang BUT if he has trait out he can release bats and catch her dashing in into a full combo so that's a good read and that will make her be careful, so she will just start walking in into parry so you can keep her out better. He can punish ground shield toss at certain ranges with bats or grapple so be ware of that.
And if she has a lifelead she is going to be using her shield toss more since she wins the trade if she happens to get hit as well.
I can just say... Be patient and don't get wreckless because that's what she wants... She wants you to start jumping in or doing yolo stuff.
I personally think she wins now but it's not that bad so yeah, that's the best advice I can give you.

You get a dash in after ducking a shot so just be patient and get into your comfortable range (I think she does well in the neutral against him SO FAR)
I find myself playing the neutral against him more often than being fullscreen being harassed with gunshots.

Thanks. I guess I just need more experience or something but it seems nigh impossible for me to do anything with her zoning and walkbackspeed. Even when I walk n' block her to the corner it feels like I'm not at a huge advantage.

Thanks again, I think it's just one of these MU's where I'm the problem and it's like a mental block I need to overcome.

My big battle now us against NRS and these shaders!!!!! U want to support the whole tournament thing but I cannot keep blo wing source crystals on fugly Shaders. Why isn't there a premium rich shiny version of her default color scheme? I saw the Flash and Batman have great looking NTH metal s aders especially Flash which adds a rich metallic sheen to his normal red.

What the hell can Wowo do against Firestorm? I have a really hard time against his zoning he can just run away all day and he can punish all her shields.

Also how do you punish his torpedo reliably?

Not a WW main, but I asssume you punish torpedo with d2, s3 lasso or d2 lasso depending on if you hit him while he is airborne.

Also, I wanted to check in and see what the WW community feels are her bad MUs. I've heard Black Adam and GL in the past, but those seem even at this point.

I can see Fate, Supergirl, Hellboy, Firestorm and maybe Arrow.

Take a look at the WW Losing MU thread. I doubt much has changed in the ~1 month since the last post from Sunfire.

I’ve heard others mention Ivy and Fate as well. I hate fighting Hellboy as WW, but I’m not in a position to opine on the MU.

I’ve seen people say she doesn’t lose many MU, yet 6 seems significant. Half of those are widely considered top 5 characters as well.

Just realised that WoWo's ducking low profiles Superman's F2 at the start of the match so basically you don't have to predict his F23 and counter it with let's say a preemptive d3. You just react to his F2 whiffing and do your d12 combo. I know female hurtboxes are smaller in general but I also tested this with Supergirl and she was placed into blockstun by the f2 just as I remembered.
Also noticed that in general that you can parry his f2 and then punish him with a full combo.
