Will Sonic Drop MK11 for Strive?

They seem to be enjoying themselves and are still as dominant as ever. Would you like to see them stick with MK11 as their main game or switch over?

Better yet, can they focus on all 3 at once?

I could honestly see a lot of them moving on from MK depending on how this year's content pans out. The competition in Strive will be great because its been pulling in talent from all different FGC circles.

Sonic can and has been a top player in multiple games at the same time, so I don't think they'll drop anything.

Also the strive community is very small compared to other big names in the fgc.

Most pros will probably return or try out old popular games. Ninjakilla would go back to tekken, rewind might try dbfz, honeybee and bio will return to ij2, etc

Although strive might be one of the bigger things in the fg community rn most players probably won't move on to that game because 1.) Small tournament prize pools and 2.) They just might not want to play the game.

Also feel like sfv kinda stole strives light since everyone was hyped for the beta and then boom sfv comes out the wood works.

Nope, after like a year the ps4 and xbox cross play is still in beta. For strive the answer is also no I think

Off the top of my head sonic has played skullgirls, dbz, soul calibur, street fighter, granblue, under night, marvel vs capcom, and some other i am forgetting. Yet, nrs games always stay in constant rotation while of the ones ive named only skullgirls and dbz have been main stays. It doesnt mean they will drop guilty gear but if they stuck with mortal kombat through all the other games they wont stop playing it over strive

No doubt he'll move on to GG now, it deserves all the attention it's getting from everyone. whenever there is an mk11 tourny coming up he'll just drop by to yoink 1st place as usual then back to enjoy his grind on GG.

The game you're missing is DOA. He was consistently either winning or in the finals of DOA at tons of majors.

Sonic sadly isn’t gonna invest their time in Tekken enough to be good but back to op, they won’t drop any nrs game completely.

yeah the point I was trying to make before my reply to this guy was that Sonic tries a lot of games but only really sticks to nrs games, skull girls, and dbz. So based off that I highly doubt he'd leave mk11 for guilty gear strive

Seems like they’re just playing it for fun as it is, and not taking it too seriously. Same with Dragon.

I've seen them in the pro league a few times, but I think that, they just aren't a big fan of online tournaments. I know for a fact Dragon isn't.

SonicFox usually plays a bunch of fighting games. They don’t have to drop MK11 just because a new one came out. I mean, they might not focus on MK11 as much, but I don’t see them dropping it completely.
