Why is there a stance change button...

Where art thou, MKX Skarlet?
IT FUCKING DRIVES ME UP THE FUCKING WALL. I already suck at combos and that just adds to me fucking them up. I'd love it removed or have it be 2+4.

Yeah well it doesn't make any sense that you can't un-bind it. I don't care that it's there, but you would think you could turn off that 2+3=stance change link.

I use it all the time. It makes people think, even if for a milisec, and when your opponent is thinking and not reacting, you're doing it right.

You people still crying about this? NO guard button?

Hold back is by far superior, and will allow them to make their games have more depth. I'm crossing my fingers the next MK game follows suit. Hopefully this game is a test :p

It's actually a good "fakey" move. In games like SF4 you sometimes throw out a normal to bait opponents who are looking to do something on reaction. For example, Ryu will do standing light kick to bait the opponent who may be looking for a fireball so they can ultra. They don't really look for the fireball but look for any movement of the character. Since the stance change isn't really a move, you can't be punished for doing it, at all. There's no recovery it's the same as just walking backwards, so it's a great baiting move at high levels.

Other than that and other random pointless uses, it doesn't really have a significant function other than stance specific combos that yes, are in Injustice as well.

Flip stance is fairly harmless as mostly-useless mechanics go, but I do kinda wish NRS would do something a little more neat with it in this game. Maybe make it a feint cancel of some sort off certain strings (nothing TOO good, lol, don't want anybody turning into Kabal), or give it a special attack you can do out of it (kinda like Jacky's stance switch kick if you've ever played VF4/VF5). Gives you a bit of frame advantage, or jumps over lows or something, in exchange for being tied to the stance startup. But as long as it stays nicely out of my way on one of the far buttons, it can stay as it is.

Can be used as a provocation, but in MK9 had a specific function that were the Sweep OTG (aerial sweep), basically to bring down the opponent of backwards into the air. For this you had always finish a combo in the opposite position to that of your opponent, that way the opponent falling of backwards provided an easier sweep OTG and in generally unique in that falling face down were impossible performing. In injustice apparently remains the same.
