Why is the dialogue in this game so bad?

Batman: Don't be so sure!




Batman: Who are you?

Batman:.....

Green Lantern: Have you ever heard this one before?

Green Lantern: Never heard that one before.



TYM: This character needs nerfs.

Aquaman: You like using that word, don't you?

i actually think it's great how bad it is. clash dialogue not making sense or sounding dopey is actually funny, which is much better than "canon-accurate lore references" or whatever it is you'd rather have. and btw, i think that's sort of the point and i believe it's intentional.

Seems to me like the premier skins and DLC all Did their sessions around the same time. The base cast probably did their sessions before NRS knew what the premier and Dlc would be and they weren't able to bring them back for new VO. Expect all the Dlc to have unique stuff with each other and the premier skins while the base cast will have generic lines

What bugs me when Gren Lantern or Green Arrow say something about being green when they're frigging purple or blue or something.

Also, with all the fish references, for the first month the game was out, I thought Aquaman's line of "I will flay you" was "I will fillet you". I was always thinking that while I hadn't followed the story too closely, I wondered when the hell it was that Aquaman's started eating people.

It's all so very confusing.
I like it when its kinda ridiculous.

I mean, even when comic books try to be super serious, its all still immensely ridiculous and such, so the kinda oddball interactions sometimes are funny and rather fitting. Injustice has a very serious tone for the most part, dark colors, angry, serious. The dumb dialogue is a nice touch.

Of that I am painfully aware.

Poor Sub. Even has low tier dialouge

At least MKX characters had mostly new dialogue with the KP1 characters but not this time around. So many missed opportunities for great intros because the voice actors didn't come back (Batman vs Red Hood, Superman vs Bizzaro, Superman vs Darkseid, etc). Now whenever I play against a DLC character I just want to skip it because I know it's just recycled dialogue and it makes me cringe really hard.

The real shame is the regular characters do get great intros, my favourites;

Deadshot: I'm out for blood
Harley: Later I'm going out for pizza
Deadshot: You don't get trash talk do you?

Harley: Why do I always get the big guys?
Swamp: Because you have a big mouth
Harley: Leave the humour to me pal

Green Lantern: I'd rather be fighting your boss kid
Robin: I'm nobody's sidekick Jordan
Green Lantern: Spoken like a true sidekick

Brainiac: I collect worlds
Harley: I collect toenail clippings
Brainiac: Your loss will not be mourned

Cyborg: What's Spanish for "beetles getting stomped?"
Beetle: There's not really a direct translation
Cyborg: Rhetorical question genius

Good intros we'll never see again in this game amongst every character
