Can't f213 stuff all of her wake-up options (except trait, of course)?
Yes but I can't check her with his 8 frame d1 up close. She has a 2 hit armor cat dash that will wreck Escrima. A j2 that wrecks wing dings and a b3 that beats his follow ups. Staff is only way to shut down all her up close options. And it's zoning is decent. When switching back and forth it's even better but don't get caught in Escrima.

Hmm I agree. But I want to add that j3 in escrima is pretty problematic for her, I find. And also, I think a powerful strategy is dashing under her jump-ins and punishing/checking with b2. I don't know how beneficial my points are, but I'm more than happy to discuss NW lol

dash under jump in attempts are essential, but they are also 100% a read. If you can make a few a correct reads like this its a huge plus. I would use it as an opportunity to get back into staff.

How is dashing under a read? It's reactionary just as an AA attempt would be.
@Ram I really do think this is an underrated/underutilized tactic that's very essential to NW. IMO one of his best options since his AA options are mediocre, and his mobility is poor. The one potential problem I see with this tactic is the specific crossup range where your forward dash becomes a back dash but this doesn't by any means rule out the option, just discussing possible weaknesses of this tactic

I agree with milk. I always dash under characters who I cant anti air. Nw can dash under and B2 or dash under and TK wing dings.

I find if I wait to see a jump, then dash, I get clipped with a jump normal. This is assuming they are jumping from a range where this is possible.

But on wakeup for example, sometimes it is a read. Dash under is a good option but it is not a strategy that always works is all I'm saying.

It's a read because if she does J1/3 instead of J2, you're getting hit

Could we have someone test this in an offline setting? The only active NW and CW I can think of are Dja_Homies and Krayzie during their SoCal ILAB meet-ups. Maybe they could play a ft5 or ft10 (recorded, of course), and Dja could focus on trying to dash under CW's jump-ins as much as possible. Then we could have a look at how successful this strategy is. Sorry for my overly-analytic approach, but I'm a scientist by training lol

If she's up close and is jumping on you then she won't be using J2 because it'll whiff. She'll be using J1, in which case you can dash under.

Me & Fly are talking about when she's trying to get in on you from further away, using her J2. In this scenario, dashing under is a read because if she does in fact use J2 it'll whiff and you can swing, but if she reads the dash and does J1/3 instead then you'll be getting hit.

Then I agree. No strategy always works, I just feel that it's one of his best options in escrima that are underused. I rarely do that on wakeup because it's much riskier

If who jumps in? Im not talking about MU specifics I'm referring to universal tactics. I'm just explaining why this is good option that I feel is underused. Not talking about who can beat it. I understand there is an answer to everything.

We were talking about in the Catwoman MU. That's what Fly is referring to when he says it's a read.

Against most characters, yeah it's a solid option.
