Lobo is definitely the way to go. He is probably the single least played character in this game and could use the love - plus, everything he does is hilarious. Raven already has her high level reps and there are people displaying character loyalty to Shazam no matter what. The Lobo army consists of one man named Cage Redfield. And as for Bane, nobody can out hype Doombawkz.

I voted Joker cuz because Quan Chi is a mind fuck to both play and play against. There ain't no bigger mindfuck in Injustice than Joker. I would also suggest Lobo as a close second. :coffee:

Insuperable Grundy is a Zombie, as close to necromancy as it gets, and He has the biggest comeback factor with death combos and over 100% resets that are in the Grundy forums if you wanna check. And it really takes a strategist to play smart with the boosts he gets for landing his Trait. Plus as a grapler he punishes people for commiting to block, just like Quan with Ex Runes. So He really is the Quan Chi of Injustice.
And posts like these are why I keep telling people to quit posting these useless topics. Grundy has no practical or useful 100% combo/reset. His most practical combo is a 2 bar 71% 112 bf2 mb b1 db2 mb j2b1 health chain. All of his 100% combo's aren't useful at all.

In terms of the topic honestly he's the character I've seen people get the hypest for. Most of your list are underused characters but not ones people get excited about. Bane is another who is pretty equal in garnering hype. Shazam less so but still more than the rest.

Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
For hype?
Lobo/Shazam/Bane

Lobo is so unexplored its stupid right now. His roll and d2 seemed good and his long range low grab seemed cool. Plus the walk and super alone would please folks.

Shazam is under represented and then some. I think its stuff like B2, 22, and Herculean Might from what folks tried to advise me that work for him, but I dont know enough to say there. In any case no one uses him out there and its always fun to see the guy as he is really fun in looks, animations, and personality.

Bane. Dude is a few tools from destroyign folks at all times. Frame traps and suffocates once he is in. Poor mobility and not many options on normals make folks run from him, but he beasts teleporters, jumpers and honestly can hold his own vs zoners and runaway folks if you know how to use him properly. If you want to get in faces and are a patient blocker getting there this guy made the streams explode when he took a round off KDZ's Superman rocking the duffman outfit.

I apologize to Insuperable for this Grundy players offtopic grudge. But dude can you read what I am saying? I am not saying Grundy is the Cyrax of IGAU (Cyrax Gold anybody:)). I am saying he is Quan Chi who is considered a low tier in MK9. I personally land his "impractical over 100% corner resets" pretty often in a match with a human opponent. You don't need to do MB GR, GR before the combo to get a 100%. And It isn't impractical to get Power Chain damage boost so this 71% reset you mentioned turns into 81% and if you insert a MB Grave Rot before ji2 B1 reset you get 91% for 3 bars. That is pretty much what Quan Chi gets with a full 3 bar Rune Trap. I think mods already told you to stop lashing out at Grundy players who are having fun with his 129% corner combo, and now you are taking another thread offtopic.

So, yeah. SOUP should defenitiely play Grundy, because he is necro, he is slow as shit, has troubles against a lot of characters, BUT IS really hype and sometimes has a chance to make up for his flaws with amazing comeback factor!

I'm looking to actually start playing the game (I'll be playing MK9 again too) because it's the current game and when the semester starts again I won't be able to play League anymore ;_;

High execution and tournament viability aren't issues for me, so I don't mind who I play. The #1 thing I'm looking for is a character who would please an audience. I enjoy playing characters with low representation or are vastly unexplored. I'm looking to create the hype that I created when I played Quan (and when I randomly played Jax that one time) because I like to hype the community when I'm swamped and stressed in schoolwork.

I've never given a fighting game 100%, and I most likely won't for Injustice, but I can guarantee hype :)
its been three months and im still figuring that out myself

LEGEND

YES!
i voted bane but now that i think about it, Shazam is great for bringing the hype and blowing people up (who don't know the MU)

And hes not as shallow as the rest of the characters listed

Yes I can read but you're saying nonsense. The 100% is impractical if you're landing it consistently you're playing some bad players. Grundy should rarely if ever have full super meter in the first place. The power chain is worthless 10% damage isn't going to make or break you in 99% of the matches. 71% guarantees for 2 bars guarantee's a kill if you land a simple health chain and the health chain or defense chain in some matches are far more useful than the power chain.

He has comeback factor but not because of his 100% impractial combo's that grundy forum idiots like to constantly post. 4 touches kills not counting a clash. He has difficult to escape set ups and can swing the match with an anti air grab of all things. very momentum based character.
