Central City is a good place, nothing too bad goes down there as far as I know. At least compared to other places.

Agreed. As much as I love Bats and Supes...Gotham has very little actual good in it that doesn't get targeted by maniacs like Two-Face, Croc, or worst of all, Joker. And while Metropolis is a thriving, bright city, it's frequently targeted by super-powered villains like Brainiac. Not to mention the property damage that occurs when Superman finally shows up to save the day.
