Dead Alive is fuckin AWESOME!!

It's an alright movie, my wife constantly says "Your mom ate my dog!" Funniest line ever.

My favorite movie is Opera, Dario Argento makes the best movies and they always have amazing soundtracks.

I really love The Abominable Dr. Phibes. "Nine killed her; nine shall die! Eight have died, soon to be nine. Nine eternities in doom! "

I actually really enjoyed the remakes of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes. I also love the Paranormal activity movies and Insidious. One movie I watched that creeped me the fuck out for real was The Fair Haired Child, I highly reccomend it. Event Horizon looks pretty cool too.

God damn that one scene in Insidious with the fire demon freaked me the fuck out for a week.

God I could NOT take that movie seriously. The first 45 minutes were awesome. Once the old lady with the gas mask scene happened it was all over for me. I couldn't stop laughing at how terrible and ridiculous that scene was.

There is such a broad variety in horror movies, but I think the best are the 70's slasher/revenge/cult & zombie ones (where you can see that some of the directors/writers started in the porn bizz ) ... My list can go on and on.
Most 90's and early 2000 just plain suck, it started with Scream and it was a trend that destroyed the true horror film (overexposed lighting, no color trips, stupid music,...). I just hate those newskool teen horror/scream films. But these days it got a bit, really liked Rubber!!

Scream series.
Saw series.
Final Destination series.

(I was born in '89, so I'm not really into the oldschool stuff)

I cannot stand Hostel. Its the most fucked up thing ever. When I saw Hostel 1 and the chick got her eye cut out I was like "WTF!". Hostel 2 is no better. I dunno why, I love horror, but thats just 1 step too far for me.

yeah just watched the trailer and im worried as well. So far i sense there is already to much action within this movie where as the original was more suspense like "who is infected and shit" Another problem I have is the main protagonist is a girl who is trying to play the role Kurt Russel played in the original version.

I smell a cheesy modern day scifi horror coming this way and if thts the case ill do what I normally do to new age scifi horror movies...compare them to Mansquito.

***Edit: Turns out this movie is a prequel to John Carpenters "The Thing" which is kinda bs b/c the original movie was based off of the movie "The Thing from another world" which has tht Norwegian science team they speak of in the beginning of the movie***

The new The Thing looks like a prequel/re-boot of Carpenter's version into one film, so who knows. I don't think it'll suck, but who knows if it'll be as good as the original by Carpenter.

But yeah dude ^ The next Halloween supposedly will be a continuation of the Zombie films called Halloween 3D/3, and Child's Play yeah was in the works since 2007 remake, but finally got the ball rolling on it

Should be out this time next year I think. It's a remake of the original Child's Play but will be even darker, serious and frightening so I'm pumped!
