I like to bait, stay mid range, mindgames, and control the pace of the match. I like characters that are the jack of all trades. Have good strings, good specials. But aren't over powered. Challenges = good.

Main- Smoke, just love his look and moves. Plus his combos just flow for me and his playstyle which feels like a huge momentum based stlye where I try and get in which can sometimes be hard, but once i'm in keep on the pressure.
Alts- Reptile and Sub-Zero. Once again looks and moves. Sub-Zero has always been my favorite character but his combos come a bit hard to me so he's only an alt. I like both Reptile and Subs zoning playstyles and they feel natural to me.

These are the only charaters ill ever use. Rest of the cast just doesn't suit me at all.

Sub and Scorpion. Favs since Mk1, I'm a whore for the classics. But seriously, their respective games are so cerebral, and mind game oriented, I love it. Just wish I had more than 3-4 hours a week to practice lately. >_>

But I'm open mind to try training with any character, sure that is hard to accomplish the same skill level with all of them, but, it's fun to explore "new territories" in this game, hehe ........

When I'm bored , I usually pick a new character and stick with training and playing online for a couple of weeks, to see how it is .......

1. Reptile - because I've loved him since MK2 and his play style was just so different from the rest of the cast in MK9. :reptile:

2. Cyber Sub-Zero - he is seriously one of the most fun characters in this game imo.

3. Rain - I completely suck with him right now...but I'm trying. I have all kinds of BnB's down with him and can execute them with my eyes closed, but actually playing with him and winning is another story for me right now. His strategies and play style has just not clicked with me yet unfortunately :(

Main: Jax, I like to be different.

Subs/Alts: Kano, since he can counterpick many of Jax's bad matchups.

Learning: Sektor, Rain, and Quan Chi.

First I used Stryker, who remains my favorite to today, personality wise, but his playstyle didn't click w/ me. So I went to Ermac, but then he was to technical. Then I went to Smoke, who clicked immediately. But I dropped him after a came back to MK a little while after psn went back up, and I saw everyone use him. Then I went to Liu Kang, but he wasn't working out, so I picked Jax, and he clicked right away. That's my story. I would've picked Kung Lao or Sub Zero, since they were my favorite characters growing up, but they actually came off as hard-to-play to me, combined with the fact that they were overused. Maybe next game...

1. Mileena - I picked her up a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed playing with her, but the bd4 input stopped me from taking it more seriously, but I bought a stick and that's not a problem anymore and I've been palying her almost non-stop since. When I heard REO is playing her at EVO I was super hype and I was screaming at my screen during the grand finals and almost punched throught the aforementioned screen in the end. :coffee:

2. Raiden - I really enjoy playing as Raiden, he just fell out of favor.

But the thing is, I like so many characters that I often change my most played ones, except the 2 above. And working on my Samsung right now. :p

Noob Saibot for zoning and mindgames; Nightwolf for rushdown and mindgames.

I've always liked playing evil characters only in games, but for some reason, Nightwolf just clicks with me lol.

Always have played her, ALWAYS will. Regardless of how good/bad she is in any given MK.

She's just my favorite character ever in the MK series.

Started with Mileena way back in the MK2 days and never really deviated outside of Scorpion back then.

Now a days though, the characters that get about equal time with me are Ermac(I love his look, powers, style, etc.) and Mileena. Occasionally I'll dabble with Quan Chi, mainly because, in my mind, he is the unloved albino. Like Powder.

Kabal. Has every tool you want, can zone, mix-up, and has no bad match ups. Also doesn't have any super easy match ups. Thus can play at the highest level, can adapt, and you don't feel cheap using him (Raiden and Lao).

What is everyones problem with Raiden? He has a great teleport yes, but he has to use it sparingly against half decent players because it is punishable. By crossops, sweeps, njps just to mention a few. Superman is super fast, and just as punishable unlike elbow dash. Shocker is almost only in combos, VB is a decent aa and gives advantage on block, but not against everyone. And a decent projectile. Aside from that he has 2 high damage combo starter and bith are very slow and it often happens that b312s first hit hits than the others not. 121 is relatively fast, but hard to get high damage off of it. f24 is fast too, but it's impossible to get high damage (22% is not bad but compared to 334s 36%...) He doesn't have a low starter, the only low attack aside from universal stuff is 22b4. Raiden is good, really good, but nowhere near Lao.

At first it was because I mained Jax when I was a kid and played MK, and Jax is undeniably a badass. Then it turned out that I love his play style.

Just an overall badass character IMO, and the spear his one of my favorite moves in the game

Secondaries: Kenshi/Cage/Reptile/ermac
Cage is because im an agressive player and he basically fits that perfectly
Reptile I was bored one day and used him online for 10 games and went 10-0, I've been trying to get advanced with him since then
Ermac...tbh i bought the klassic skin pack recently and im looking to learn everyone in it LOL
Kenshi because of teef and under the mayos tutorials about him and they inspired me to buy and use him. Fun character, great corner rape, good zoning.

Main: Scorpion - Came for badass undead and stayed for, imo, the most rewarding mindgames this game has to offer.

Alts: Sub-Zero, Smoke, Reptile, Ermac (anti-rushdown, anti-zoning, rushdown, and zoning respectively. All ninjas because I like klassic costumes).
