To me there are generally five different styles of play in most fighting games, especially injustice:
What about yourselves?
- Pressure/Stagger Strings/ Command grabs: Essentially overwhelming the opponent up close and chipping away at their life. More about hits here and there rather than huge combos.
- Mixups and 50/50s: The batgirl or most all of MKX gamestyle of keeping the opponent always guessing, very momentum based and putting one into the blender. Strong highs/lows required in a character
- Zoning/Keep away: Playing the projectile game, forcing the opponent to come to you and forcing them to make mistakes. Best played full screen, great for making reads.
- Footsies/Spacing: Characters with great range which has a versatile use of keeping opponents at a lengthy distance away for which you can strike them but they are not close enough to strike you, or good for getting in on zoners with your long reach.
- Setups: Someone who is entirely based upon opening you up the first time and setting up traps, chip, vortex, and other resets or combo starting gimmicks.
