What are the rules on traiding in this game?

But I didn't want to dash
I'm just wondering because the only things I ever see trade are projectiles. I've never seen attacks trade at all, so here is my question. If 2 players using the same character press the same button at the same exact time does the game randomly choose who wins? I've also never seen a double KO. If 2 reptiles with the same amount of health spit at the same time does the winner get chosen at random?

Every trade scenario = one player wins automatically depending on the random generator of trade winners at the beginning of the round.

So the random trade generator chooses which player is going to win all trades at the start of the round as opposed to on the fly during the match? Meaning for 1 round 1 player will win all trades?

Essentially yes. MK has never had trades(the word is Ed boon doesnt like them) instead at the start of the round one player is randomly given "frame advantage" If 2 players land an attack on the exact same frame, the player with frame advantage will win. It is determined randomly at the start of each round.

Well, except uppercuts. If you can time uppercuts at the same time - both whiff, and it looks really goofy.

Thank you good sir's.

Hey rob I was reading that they might be doing some team matches at valley stream this thurs. I'm guessing they mean tag? Anyway it would be cool to team up and get some sub with reptile assist going lol. Sub being able to advance behind a slow ex ball is probably pretty fucking beast.

It rolls who goes first but then it alternates who runs first every other tick (frame).

MK needs a "DRAW" option...

That would be insane at a tournament... talk about hype.

Who gets advantage first is random, then every tick (frame) it cycles back and forth between P1/P2 so it's completely random.

Which sucks imo.

Draw rounds are so hype in SSF4. :) Also now that I think about it, I've never seen anyone win by time out in this game. I sometimes wish we could lame it out like old school turtles. :p

Ok, this is different than the other answer. Is it this, or is it chosen at the beginning of each round and remains fixed to one player for that round?

I'm pretty sure previous MK games did the latter.

Lol, I've won like three rounds in the past two weeks by having the timer run out. Not on purpose, but for some reason when I'm using Kitana vs. SZ, it seems to run the timer down pretty far.

LOL yes - you are not alone. Whenever I play Kitana vs. Subzero matches take forever.
