Grats, this is good news.

I don't know what vVv actually does for CDJr or REO. Maybe REO can answer, because they always seem to be going in a group Van to events, not paid flights.

I say this because, some people just market the company/organization in the name of "Sponsership", when in reality players receive little to no financial assistance, they just throw on a T-Shirt but get none of the true Sponsership benefits.

In short, it's free marketing done by the players in return for little to nothing.

I'd really like to know what vVv helps with, thanks!

Can't speak for either of them, but I know that CD Jr. responded to a question about lack of transportation on twitter by saying that he goes via group van because, when possible, he enjoys the trip with friends. (Remember, his brothers don't get the sponsorship benefits, though who knows what CD gets as part of KombatNetwork).

In other words, CD Jr's van travel is likely his own choice rather than anything else. A look at the VVV site on "sponsorships" seems to imply that they do pay for travel/lodging, and you'll note that both CD Jr. and REO have gone to far more events since joining VVV.
